Background: Cloak & Dagger is a game released in 1983 by Atari. It was created as a tie-in to the then upcoming film of the same name.
Gameplay: As Agent X, you have several buttons to work with. The left joystick is used to move, while the right joystick is used to fire in four directions. Pressing the igniter button while adjacent to a bomb ignites it. The goal is to safely traverse from one floor to the next. Finding a secret map paves a safe way for Agent X to leave the level. Collecting unarmed bombs add to your high score. Mystery boxes increase your speed and give extra lives. There are several traps to avoid such as acid pits, bomb converters, and box compressors, which kill you if touched. There are also several enemies, such as Robot Guards, Forklifts, Crawling Eyes, Electrical Nodes, and even Dr. Boom himself. Robot Guards directly attack by firing lasers, Forklifts are invincible, and deflect shots, as well as kill you in an instant. Crawling Eyes stick their tongues out to attack. Electrical Nodes are enemies that swarm you. Dr. Boom appears on floors 16, 20, 24, 32, to attack with two bombs. After beating a level, Agent X partakes in different expressions, based on your performance. It's quite the spectacle. 7.6/10
