LEGOLAND is a game where you need to build themeparks based on the LEGOLAND theme parks in real life. This game can be called a simulator, a tycoon, etc. I call it a great game from 1999. Sounds early, right? Well...

1997 - LEGO Island (Adventure) was made, starting a Golden Period for the LEGO Videogame history.
1998 - LEGO Loco (Train sim.), LEGO Chess (Strategy) and LEGO Creator (Building sim.) were made
1999 - LEGOLAND (Themepark sim.), LEGO Friends (???), LEGO Rock Raiders (Adventure, Sci-fi) and LEGO Racers (Racing) were made.
2000 - LEGO Stunt Rally (Racing), LEGO My Style, (Apparently, it's for kids underneath 3 years) LEGO Alpha Team (Action, Puzzle?), LEGO Creator: Knight's Kingdom (Building sim.) were made
2001 - LEGO Island 2 (Adventure, action), LEGO Racers 2 (Racing), LEGO Creator: Harry Potter (Building sim.), LEGO BIONICLE: Tales of the Tohunga [= LEGO BIONICLE: Quest for the Toa] (Adventure, RPG) were made. There was also 1 cancelled game: LEGO BIONICLE: The Legend of Mata Nui.
2002 - LEGO Soccer Mania (Sports), LEGO BIONICLE: Matoran adventures (Adventure) (I think we have this one on Vizzed too), LEGO Island: Xtreme Stunts (Action), Drome Racers (Racing) (Trust me, i MUST make a review for this one!), LEGO Creator: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Building sim.) were made. And there was a non-LEGO game released by the LEGO Group as well: GALIDOR: Defenders of the Outer Dimension. (Adventure)
2003 - LEGO Bionicle - The game (RPG) was made. Sadly, this golden period was 'ruined' by LEGO Star Wars: The Videogame (2005), but one game made everything better: LEGO Battles (Strategy)

Now, on to the actual game:

INTRODUCTION
LEGOLAND is, as i said twice, a themepark simulator. It's goal is to make valid themeparks. There are 5 introduction levels, each about a specific subject, contain the main theme of LEGOLAND and another theme. It's up to you what theme it is. Anyway, once you completed these 5 introduction levels, you go on to the big guys: 10 main levels, each completed level provides more choices for attractions, thrill attractions, food buildings and decoration. There are a lot of main themes, providing sub-themes. (Huh? Look at the text called 'themes'!) And each theme has their own attractions and stuff. The game it self looks odd, but if you're getting used to it's style and look, it's very nice to play. Also, i got to say this from an experience: If you're autistic and under 7 years old, this game will be more difficult to understand correctly, as most autistic people understand things too literally.

THEMES
There are themes, there are sub-themes, and there are sub-sub-themes. They are listed below:

LEGOLAND theme
- LEGOLAND theme
- Water amusement Theme
- Small countries theme

Wildwest theme
- Wild west theme

Medieval theme
- Medieval theme

Adventure theme
- Adventure theme
- Inca theme
- Egypt theme
- Dinosaur theme

If there are any more themes, tell me.

GIANT ATTRACTIONS
You know there are attractions to build in this game, but some of them have 'add-ons'. These are some example of attractions with an add-on, if not one then more:

- Medieval: Sensory Ride (Rollercoaster)
- Wildwest: Log Flume (water ride)
- Adventure: Jungle Cruise (water ride)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SCORE:

I give the graphics an 8, because... well... it's an old game, and i was surprised we had it in our videogame room. But it still has something, otherwise it had a 5.

I give the sound an 8 as well. It has the same song over and over again. (FUN FACT: The music of LEGOLAND the videogame isn't alone at all. I know, it is a 'nostalgic' feeling when you hear it, but there were supposed to be a Medieval song, a Wild West song, an Adventure song, an Egypt song, etc. They were sort of programmed in the wrong way by the audio manager. He set the songs like so, that only the LEGOLAND song plays. You can change the song by just typing the name of the song wildly in-game, as if you're entering a cheat code. Type 'CASTLE' for the Medieval song, 'WEST' for the wild west one, INCA for the Inca song, EGYPT for the Egypt song and STOP for no music at all. Also, HOLD SHIFT IF YOU WANT TO USE IT.)

I give the addictiveness a 10, because when i was 4, i played this every time i could. It's really addictive.

I give the story a 9, and not a 10. That's because this game DOES have a story, but it ends up into the 'guide' saying "you need to decorate the park"... or something like that.

I give the depth a 10, because i told everyone it takes a while to beat in another thread. In case you didn't see: It takes 30 minutes to 1.5 hour to complete ONE main level. There are also shorter levels, the introduction ones.

I give the difficulty a 4 because it's easy, but it's getting harder each level.

Overall, it gets a 9.8! I would say: Play this game if you still have it! You need Windows XP or lower to do so, though...

It's a good review, but it almost seems like there's more about previous Lego titles than the actual game itself. I enjoy your style of writing, it just seemed liked the games actual aspects were the only thing in the review that felt kind of skimmed over.
