Jygin : To be honest I already know Absol is great, it is a very good Pokémon if used right. It also looks fabulous and Its mega multiplies it's fabulousness by infinity. But its just my opinion of course, people are not going to like Absol, and that is a fact of life and I'll accept that.

18mlivingston : to be honest it was Bara Fluffy that sorta made me write this thread when they stated that Absol wasn't a good pokemon I felt like shouting Blasphemy though beings that Bara Fluffy is a mod I'd rather not upset them because I lovez being on this site so I wrote this post instead to hopefully enlighten everyone to Absol's amazing awesomeness ^.^

18mlivingston : true though there is nothing wrong with stating facts aboutz Absol and then giving the people a chance to learn aboutz it and possibly reconsider their views of it and if they don't then at least they nowz knowz what an Absol is really capable of 

I myself have trained up to 5 or 6 Absol to level 100 and there is very little that survives a battle with me and my Absols considering they are all sleepers and each knowz a secret TM move along with Psycho Cut and Night Slash or Dark Pulse all moves of which have a high critical hit ratio ^^

My problem when using absol is that it's SO frail. With the right setup, I can name a ton of pokemon that counter absol completely.
Especially fairy types, not really a lot it can do against those. Mega Absol removes a lot of counters like Sableye but there are still plenty of them out there.

It's very good in-game though.

Furret : Yeah while it does get destroyed by some things, it can also destroy a lot of things as well. Mega Sableye is just one of the Pokémon it can stop, though a Sylveon sweeper will pretty much destroy him unless hidden power is Steel type for it.

This is an Absol-utely fantastic guide!

Sounds to me like Absol is a glass canon. I like those! This is a really good guide. And once I emulate Pokemon again, I'll be sure not to turn away an Absol or three.

Jygin : You don't need to make a thread to prove that Absol is a good Pokémon, if you think and know, deep down, that Absol is a good Pokémon, . There are always haters no matter what. Unless your favorite Pokémon isn't Magikarp, you don't need to feel hurt by people insulting your favorite Pokémon as they are entitled to their opinions,as are you. In my opinion, the design of Absol is really good, and it looks like a boss, and has a pretty decent moveset. 

On another note, Squirtle gets bashed a lot in the Chat by a certain slinky, but he has the rights to do that. It doesn't change the fact that Squirtle is the original gangster and is way better than Charmander .

RDay13 : sorryz but I agree with the slinky Charmander is better then Squirtle though I'd stillz use Squirtle over a Mudkip any day since I hate Mudkip so in games that allow you to catch both of the starters I do indeed catch both Charmander and Squirtle and train them to their final forms and have the most bad a*s team around with Absol as my lead pokemon ^^

Jygin : Nuuuuuuuu! Charmander might be better than a regular Squirtle, but a Squirtle with shades cannot be beat by a measly Charmander. 

On a side note, Mudkip is a great pokemon. It's my 2nd favorite water starter, and is unbelievably cute as well. The only downside to Mudkip is that it can be taken out with a single grass type move, if it's good enough. However, it counters that by neutralizing electric type moves. I would pick Mudkip if Treecko wasn't an option. In my opinion, Treecko barely edges out Mudkip, but they are both great Pokemon and much better than Torchic. 

I like Absols :3. I first liked them because of how they looked X3, and they're probably one of my favorite Pokemon now, especially since I know now about how good it can be . I don't like being competitive and just like playing the games normally, so it being frail wouldn't bother me that much.

And Mega Absol... those wings... and that overall design... just fantastic :3. Too bad I can't play Gen 6 yet... ;-;

I'm a little sad User beat me to the "Absol-utely" pun though, since that's my most favorite Pokémon pun out there XD

Absol is by far my favorite Pokémon, and it's sad to see the amount of hate they receive from a lot of people. If you're not playing competitively, they are an awesome choice for your team, especially with the right Move-Set and IVs / EVs / Nature. I haven't played anything beyond hacks of Gen 3 games, so I would generally teach them Bite ( with sun glasses / shades as their hold item ), Psychic, Aerial Ace, Slash, and then the other one would have Bite again ( the chance to stun is awesome, as well as the S-T-A-B ) Thunder Bolt, Ice Beam, and Flame Thrower ( and I'd always have 2 on my team, one for elemental attacks, the other for flying / normal / psychic attacks lol ). Depending on the team and what gaps I'd need to fill offensively, the elemental attacks may get switched out for other things, but I'd almost always use 2 on a team due to their awesome offensive capabilities. I like to hit hard and fast with the Absols, and keep a couple tanks around ( things like Swampert for example, which can some what tank and deal great damage at the same time ) for healing with items if things get dicey

I'm not sure why you stopped making these, but they are very well done. I always enjoy reading what ever it is you have to say, and really look forward to all your posts in the future ^^

most of mine are sleepers so ya I attack my opponents with moves they don't see coming and then they don't knowz how to react because they are like 'what move did I just see that Absol use?!' lolz it is so priceless XD
