Well do you use the daycare in the games to level pokemon you don't have time for or do you think they are a waste of money?

I think so. They helped my Dratini once. It grew 41 levels and I did not know I put it there. I then took it out at Level 47, and I beat the Elite Four with it.

Daycares are worth the money. I use them to get my Pokemon to high enough levels to evolve and to get eggs.

I hardly used the Day care. I thought it was cool, but it takes too long after a while, like after Lv. 50.

I typically use the daycare for eggs, but sometimes it's pretty good for leveling too. I just remembered I stored a meditite in there on Platinum lol. Should help against Byron if it's high enough. And I've also used it to get my togepi from level one to level thirty before as well.

Why not? This way, you can have more than six pokemon leveling up at a time. Also, you can't forget the breeding possibilities of the more recent ganerations.

I only use the day care to level up Pokemon like Dratini and Beldum as they are hard to level up.I would also use it to breed a Male pikcahu(holding a light ball) with a Female Pikachu to get a Male Pichu with Volt Tackle or I'd use it to get Phione.

I usually use daycares. I don't like flying pokemon much, so I usually catch one at a low level and let it sit in the day care, and once I get the Fly HM I'll get it out and it's usually at a decent level.. If not, I'll do some straight-away riding/running to get some quick experience on it (I hope everyone knows the exp they gain in there is based on footsteps, not time). And then I only have to train a Pidgey two levels and then I've got myself a worthy Pidgeot.

Oh, and DEFINITELY worth the money. I'd pay three times as much to get my pokemon to level up like that. I mean level = x, it's only 100x + 100? That's a bargain IMO.

No. I don't use daycare (other than getting eggs, of course) because I think it is:
1. a waste of time
2. a money eater (spend it on calcium or protein, why don't ya!)
3. takes the actual playing part out of the game (why have an rpg when you can just freely lvl up your pokemans*)
4. just annoying how you have to make room in your party, get your pokemans* and do all the stuff to take them out)

So you can guess that I voted "No"

*I like the word "Pokemans" because it sounds funny.

I hardly ever have a party of 6 because it's simpler to just use 2-3 pokemon tops and level them up higher than you would if you had to spread the talent between 6.

I pretty have to say the same thing with what everyone else just said.

That said, this was kinda a waste, but i will say that it is very helpful that I can level another while leveling others and it is true that you do have to take out a space to take out a pokemon, but hey, isnt that how the WHOLE game works in general? Like the PCs in the Pokemon Centers, thats pretty much the same thing!

I would recomend using the daycare in later games when there are running shoes because the pokemans in the daycare level up with footsteps, which can occur more with the running shoes and less presure for a bike.

The daycare is pretty useless after you attain the Fly HM because then you wouldn't walk around as much

Personally, I use the daycare a lot to get myself some Gyaradoses (Is that the right spelling for Gyarados in plural?) and to get eggs, but I sort of dropped out after Crystal version so I am not positive if it works the same. Oh, and yes, the daycare is definitely worth the cost, at least before the Fly HM

Oh, and Shane The Go, Pokemans is a funnier word then just plain old Pokemon

Seeing as the daycare doesn't give EV points or happiness like battling would, I mostly use it for eggs.

I know for a fact when you use daycare, your pokemon get less stat increase for each level up, but sometimes if I want a pigey or something lame to get some quick level ups until I start really training them I'll use daycare.

LOL! I bred two of these purple-ballish Pokemon, and they had so many eggs! I was at my grandma's playing and they would have eggs every two hours, give or take... And I would be like, "MORE EGGS, GRANDMA!" Good times, good times.

But, I only used it for eggs most of the time, really never for leveling up - though it's really useful.
