As promised in the '
Phemcee - What Happened?' thread, here's an
update thread about Phemcee's future.
Originally, Phemcee was created to be a Minecraft youtube channel. EideticMemory and I dreamed of taking our knowledge and using it to create Minecraft videos, designed both to entertain and to teach others what we've learned about Minecraft. I was always the 'command block' guy, while EM was more skilled with server plugins and had better vision with the physical aspect of builds. Consider him the architect, then, and me the guy that makes his complex ideas come to light.
As examples, I've built doors that only open when you have a specific key, I've built teleports that only work if you are one of a few specified users, and I've been behind nearly all the official command blocks on the Vizzed Minecraft server (excluding any found in mini-games, unless the mini-game is a Phemcee build). EM has been responsible for a few iconic builds on the server, such as the large Volcano in Vizzed Ville and much of the physical aspect of Devil's Nightmare (Phemcee's most significant project).
Now that you've got a better idea of what we originally wanted, let me explain more where I think Phemcee can go.
To summarize Phemcee's vision going forward, Phemcee is going to be a community dedicated to entertaining YOU. Phemcee won't be limited to any one genre, any one game, or any one target audience.
Confused yet? Me too.
"...dedicated to entertaining YOU." What does that even mean? Every youtube channel that dreams of being famous has to at least attempt to entertain people, even if it's just a
select few in their target audience.
What I mean by this, to dive in deeper, is that Phemcee was originally limited by who EM and I wanted it to be. Now that I'm hoping to bring others on board, we should have the opportunity to expand from just the one or two ways we were originally hoping to make videos. Basically, screw limitations, let's explore who we -can- be.
"Phemcee won't be limited to any one genre/game/target audience." Again, what? Plenty of people have been successful by marketing to one specific audience, why do anything differently?
Variety is great, I love it. Variety keeps me interested when I watch youtube channels, and I'm sure many other people feel the same way. Yet I also recognize that people make the best channels when they've locked in on a specific type of video (or two). Therefore, I had a brilliant idea - why not ask a few people to join me, each of whom has some variety in tastes, and we can all focus on one or two types of videos. Same quality, but the channel gets a bunch of variety.
To start off, here are some short term ideas and goals via bullet points.
-Minecraft videos
-Vlog(s?)
-League of Legends via twitch
-2 new members join by the end of March, with their own passions and goals for while they're with Phemcee
I'm the current head of Phemcee, and there is at least one other person working with me as part of Phemcee. I'll refrain from sharing who that is for another day or two as we finish talking out the vision for Phemcee, and deciding where we'll begin moving forward.
Anyway, now that I've gotten all that out...
I'm sure 99% of that was confusing. Please, oh please, post here with questions (if you have any). I'm more than happy to clarify things, answer questions, or elaborate more on things I've said. I wrote this while quite tired, so I'm sure it's not quite where I'd like it to be.

We'll have a live website in a couple weeks, and our first video should theoretically release in the third week of March. Twitch streaming will start as early as this Sunday.
