Ok here is my first attempt at reviewing a game.  I saw that this one didn't have any reviews so I thought I would do one for it.

This is a sequel to dark rising 2 and  I think a prequel to dark rising 3.  If you enjoyed the first two dark rising games, you will like this one somewhat.

Graphics  and sound:.  I usually have the battle scene turned off to make the games go faster and I usually mute my laptop so I would not really know what they are like.

Addictiveness:  The story is not very long, but should u die, (in this game all your Pokémon faint, it is game over), you would probably want to either start over,  or play something else.  You don't even get to catch Pokémon, you just find the Pokémon the game gives you.  Some of the Pokémon it gives you will mega evolve, but I don't think it will make much of a difference.  It also doesn't have the usual 8 gyms e4 and champion like other games,

Story:  Like I said it is a sequel to Dark Rising 2 and I think a prequel to the upcoming Dark Rising 3.  For those of you that haven't played Dark Rising 2 to the end, I won't give away the ending, but in this game, this Pokémon that appeared at the ending of Dark Rising 2 has taken over the world and Pokémon battles and capturing Pokémon are no longer allowed.  There are no Pokémon centers or marts and no revives.  if a Pokémon faints, only way to bring it back is a rare candy and of course that only gives it a few hp when it does.

Depth:  The game is not very long, in fact it could probably be done in a few hours

Difficulty:  You thought the first two were hard, and a lot of grinding required, they pale in comparison to this one.  Like I said, no Pokémon centers or marts.  You'll find Pokémon either given to you or around the game.  You cannot capture any Pokémon.  also Pokémon faint you cant bring them back except rare candies.  If all you Pokémon faint, its game over.  You only get 2 chances to heal all your Pokémon, and I am not certain if you could do it again at those spots.  I do know that once you move forward from those spots, you can not got back to them.

overall:  It is fun, but extremely difficult.  Main reason I am giving it an 8 overall is because I am so tired of people putting on these hacks that are not completed or have so many glitches that the game is not worth even trying.  As far as I can tell, the game is complete, has no glitches but way too difficult to play..  I don't even know if the final guy is even beatable.  I am going to start over and try some things because when I get to the final boss, he was level 100 and mine were only one Pokémon in the 40s.  and rest in 20s or thirties.  You are only supposed to last long enough for something, but really hard to do.

From the limited knowledge I have of Pokémon, you seem to have given a good overview. However you could have gone into more details: how ARE the graphics? the music? Also, if it applies to you, you should have compared this hack to others to see where it stands.

I have a few very notable things to point out...

First off is this: every time you say "I think" or "I don't know," do research or figure out info from the game to turn that into "I know." Reviews are not a guessing game, and should assume that the reviewer knows the ins and outs of the game he or she is reviewing, especially regarding something such as graphics or sound. Playing through the game in a certain setting is not reason to avoid going over those categories. If you are going to review a game, be prepared and judge all of the categories.

Second off, expand. For depth, you just said that it wasn't very long and can be completed in a few hours. Why is that so? Are there any other side quests you can do?

Third, you're contradicting yourself in this review. You said that the game can be done in only a few hours, but you then immediately complain that the amount of grinding in Dark Rising 1 and 2 pales in comparison to this one. Grinding takes time, so either you're understating how long the game actually took, or you're overstating how much you have to grind throughout the game.

Also, if you cared to pay attention to the story you were playing through, then you would know that you are not supposed to win against the final Pokémon you face. That is the point.

All in all, you have the general concept of a review's organization down, but you need to put more effort into actually knowing what you're talking about in a game before you post a review. I look forward to seeing you try and improve, however.
