This was something I found on the Internet that I thought was very fascinating. I'm not really a astronomy kind of guy, but stuff like this makes me question the universe. The animation is a little outdated due to the discovery of UY Scuti, the new largest known star. I Thought I share it on vizzed just for fun.

Forget the things that are actually physical objects, just look at the amount of stuff there is. Heck, you could probably fit our solar system tens of thousands of times in our galaxy and you could probably fit thousands of galaxies in the space between ors galaxy and the next closest one., not to mention that galaxies are moving further away all the time.

Theres so much space, that you could fit stuff that's thousands of times bigger than the biggest thing in the animation, and theres still so many things that we don't know.

Yeah, I've seen these comparisons before. There also exists another one for the infinitely small.

For the comparison on the big, it shows how insignificant we all are .

Is it odd that I feel slightly imprisoned on this tiny planet after watching that gif...?

They totally left out Pluto, which regained planetary status. It's approximately one third the size of out moon. I also didn't realize how large Neptune is... I always had it in my head that it wasn't much larger than Mars.

I really like this. Our universe looks like a video game. Just nice and crazy to see how amazing our universe looks like
