The Humble Store opened its huge Winter Sale today.  It will last for two weeks, and will feature publisher specific sales as well as build-your-own-bundles.  Today's bundle is perhaps their most featured build-your-own-bundle, a Double Fine themed one.  I'm planning on picking it up for Broken Age, then splitting the bundle with folks either here or on Reddit.

So if you buy 3 games, you get 85% off. Buy 4 games, you get 87% off, and buy 5 games, you get 90% off, but if you buy the most expensive games and then the least expensive games, you get free games AND a discount. Though the discount only works for the full retail value of the game, not the discounted price.

Here's what I did.

I added the 3 most expensive games from the list. Grim Fandango ($15), Broken Age ($25), and Massive Chalice ($20). That comes to $60 and with the 3 game discount, it comes to $9. But here's the catch. If you add a few cheap games, the price goes down. I added Costume Quest ($10), and Stacking ($10) That's an extra 2 games and an extra $20 on the total price but the discounted price drops from $9 to $8. So you get 2 free $10 games and pay $1 less, like 15% less.

You can get the 5 cheapest games there for just $5.33

zanderlex : It is an interesting system.  It's an amazing savings whether or not you know how to work it, but more so if you do.

The sale going on right now is awesome, with more than 20 games from Daedalic Entertainment like Blackgaurds which I hear is a really good game.

Blackguards Deluxe Edition costs $45 and $14 with it's current sale, but if you get that and 4 other of their cheapest games, you get all 5 games for less than $8. That's INSANE.

You could even get that and Blackguards 2, which costs $35 along with 3 cheap games for only $10
