It seemed like he started before the time I was planning for so I only got to see him half way but he was able to pull off the goal and was able to raise some money so it was a definite success.

Linkums : Congrats on a successful playthrough. I don't know how you weren't nervous and maybe you were but were pretty good at hiding it. I told a few users about it when you went live but I think the only person to show up besides me that I know of from Vizzed was mrfe.

Really saddened that I wasn't able to watch this speedrun. I think your speedrun stared at 8:30am and I'm usually at school at that time. Though later when it's uploaded to Youtube , that's when I'll give the speed run a watch. Cheering from afar.

Davideo7 : Thanks so much for watching even though it was so late! I wasn't really nervous for some reason, even though I was in the week leading up to it. I think the fact that I wasn't facing the audience and that I wasn't in a prime time slot helped me not to worry to much. Or I was just too tired to be anxious any more.

In any case, for those who want to watch, this *should* take you to it. You might have to refresh to get the time stamp to work though: http://twitch.tv/gamesdonequick/v/34028952?t=3h03m05s

You looked great there, dude! I wish I didn't fall asleep on the stream; you were set to go on in a half-hour before I just got too exhausted, unfortunately. Super enjoyable, and wish I had seen it live.

...It's funny.

When you happen to know someone on a board or elsewhere who's gotten into an event you're planning to get into, you kind of feel like working double-time to do it yourself.

I know it's a wild thing to ask right now, since obviously even tryouts are still a while off for SGDQ, I'm wondering if you were going there yourself as well, obviously assuming you can go to wherever it's located. I'm still looking for people who would be co-commentating with me over the game, and I'd like to try and get people who will be there for some other reason so I don't feel like I'm forcing people; Kirby and the Amazing Mirror single player speedrunning has lost its popularity for years at this point, so contacting those who used to be a part of that is near-impossible. Although, I'm also not worrying too much over explanations of what I'm doing, since most of it is actually pretty self-explanatory. I just need some color-commentary while I just roll around at the speed of sound with Wheel almost the entire time.

Honestly, ever since M2K gave color-commentary that one day while I was running through the game one side of me wants to genuinely ask him when the date gets closer if he wants to come along and commentate, lol. He may not know anything about the game itself but he's so entertaining.

Wow, I'm honestly surprised i missed this thread..... I watch AGDQ and SGDQ every year... I can't really remember if i saw your run or not, but fear not as most of the stream ends up on youtube a few weeks/months later..... Either way congrats...

I enjoy the thought of speed-running, I just don't have the commitment to bother with it... I mean the only game i've really speedrun is sonic 2... and that was so casual that my best time was about 8 minutes short of the record... meh....  but y'know if i started about 5-6 years earlier i could have held the record at some point

Honestly though... Halo speedruns are amazing to watch... and stuff like monkey ball and such.... then again most of it really depends on who is running it... Because some speedruns are just painful to watch due to lack of enthusiasm or the runners attitude.

Tyrian Delirium : Case in point, Crash 2?

I totally agree. The runner's attitude makes so much of a live run like that, or any practice runs that he or she may do with commentary, entertaining. The excitement level of the runner makes you excited for the run.
