Hey guys, Tyranit here with my review of Mega Man 10! Like its predecessor, Mega Man 10 maintains the 8 bit graphics. Unfortunately, this is the newest classic Mega Man release we have seen (not counting remakes like Mega Man Legacy Collection), making a future with Mega Man 11 look more and more bleak as time goes on. Anyway, onto the review.
Graphics - 9
I can't give the graphics of Mega Man 10 a 10 like I did with Mega Man 9 because it is using the 8 bit style again, which still looks good, but isn't as triumphant as the return of it in the last game. The game still looks beautiful however, as the new Robot Masters, their stages, and the enemies in them are all well animated and fleshed out. The Wily Stages look very nice, along with the new bosses in them as well. Also in Mega Man 10 if you bought the DLC, you can see a new 8 bit sprite of Bass, who has previously only been in Mega Man 7(16 Bit), 8 (32 Bit), and Mega Man & Bass (16/32 Bit Hybrid?) You also get to see new colored 8 bit sprites for 3 Mega Man Killers from the handheld Game Boy Mega Man games, which are Enker from 1, Punk from 3, and Ballade from 4. Too bad we didn't get to see Quint from 2 and Sunstar from 5 make returns in DLC stages. After beating these extra bosses though, you get their weapons for use in the regular stages, getting to try them out and see who is weak to them.
Sound - 10
The music and sound effects of Mega Man 10 are just like 9: top notch, and I wouldn't change them at all. The title theme, the menu music, the Stage Select, the 8 Bosses, all of the Wily Stages, it all sounds amazing. My favorite track is from this game is Wily Stage 1, after defeating the Weapon Archive for the first time. Speaking of which, the Weapon Archive is a series of 3 bosses that have 3 sections to each boss. The first boss uses Elec Man's, Wood Man's, and Gemini Man's weapons from Mega Man 1, 2, and 3. The next uses Ring Man's, Napalm Man's and Flame Man's weapons from Mega Man 4, 5, and 6. The last one uses Slash Man's, Frost Man's, and Tornado Man's weapons from Mega Man 7, 8, and 9. This is a really cool call back to the older games, as you see the portrait of the Robot Master the Weapon Archive is using while it is fighting you, so you get to see 8 bit sprite of Slash Man and Frost Man, which were previously 16 and 32 bit bosses respectively. Getting back on the sound, I wish they tried composing these songs with the NES hardware to get the same effect of these tracks, but that is just minor nitpicking.
Addictiveness - 7
Mega Man 10 is a fun game to sit down and play a stage or two, or just do a whole run through the game. As with any other Mega Man game, I enjoy Perfect Runs (Beating a stage without getting hit once), and No Miss Runs (Don't miss any shot you fire) to make the stages even more challenging. Although, in this game, we have a difficulty choice of Easy, Normal, or Hard Mode with 3 different characters, Mega Man is durable and does a decent amount of damage, Proto Man is a glass cannon, having both the slide and charge shot, but takes 2 times the damage, and Bass has a machine gun with bullets that only do half as much as Mega Man's shots, can't go through walls, but can go in 7 different directions. Bass can also dash and increase his jump speed to get across tough obstacles, kind of like X and Zero from the Mega Man X series. There are also Time Trials to see how fast you can get through a stage, as well as 3 Special Stages with the Mega Man Killers as bosses, so pretty addicting to try and conquer all of these stages.
Story - 6
The story of Mega Man 10 seems like it could bridge to the Mega Man X series, but you would have to stretch a little bit to do that. *SPOILERS* Ahead! The story is that robots are getting sick from a virus called Roboenza, and Dr. Wily travels his way to Dr. Light's lab after Wily's robots start attacking him and his lab. Mega Man and Proto Man go and find out who released the virus, as Mega Man's sister, Roll, is sick as well. They figure out that it was all Wily's doing, so he could give the cure to any robot who would work for him. Mega Man and Proto Man stop him, and Wily gives a pile of cures to cure the rest of the sick robots, and takes off, seemingly to go develop the virus more to create the Zero Virus that he puts in Zero, as would be indicated by the Mega Man X series. This is a decent story for a Mega Man game, but I knew the villain was Wily when he said he had a prototype cure in the intro to the game. *END SPOILERS*
Depth - 8
Mega Man 10 is the largest classic game to date, having 3 characters, 3 difficulty settings, 3 special stages, Time Trials, In-game achievements, a leader board (no longer functional due to Nintendo shutting down the Wii's Wi-Fi), and an Endless Mode, like Mega Man 9, you go through 30 screens, and fight a boss, and rinse and repeat until you die. The story is decent for depth, as it can be used to bridge the classic and X series.
Difficulty - 5
I give the difficulty of Mega Man 10 an average 5 because of the may characters and difficulty settings to choose from. Easy mode gives you platforms over most spikes to walk over easily, reduces the number of enemies, and gives the bosses weaker attacks, such as Pump Man only getting to use 4 water spheres in his Water Shield, instead of the 8 he would use in Normal or Hard Mode. You also get little pickups that fill up all your health and weapon energy that was previously only found at the end of the first Mega Man. Normal is the difficulty that feels like any other Mega Man game, and Hard Mode increase the amount of spikes, enemies, and hoe much damage you take, in addition to new attacks being given to the Robot Masters. I already described the different characters play styles, so no need to get into it again.
Overall - 9
Overall, I give Mega Man 10 an 9 out of 10 because I love the graphics, music, addictiveness, depth, and difficulty, but the story I wished for would've completely bridged the classic and X series together, but I still don't think we will see that, even if we get a Mega Man 11. Anyway, this has been my review of the final classic Mega Man game, Mega Man 10, and I hope you enjoyed reading!

While the spoiler warning is appreciated, spoilers aren't actually allowed in reviews. Just bear that in mind for the next one.

Nice work detailing the game. The review is very thorough and covers about everything the reader could ask for. And while the game doesn't appeal to me, I can always appreciate a good review. Keep it up.
