Shenmue 1+2 sega dreamcast: I remember playing these games as a kid and I remember how gripping the story was. It's the most original game JSRPG that I ever played. It's about a guy named ryo hazuki whose father has been murdered by the Chinese cartel. You are on a quest in Japan by locating a man named landi by interacting with a bunch of people and writing clue down by clue. It has real JRPG moments like button timing and moving out of the way from a car crashing into you. You can also buy drinks and video games from the super market. I remember one scene where there was a bar fight and the guy was like don't ever show your face again.
Earthbound 2: aka mother 2 snes: Most quirkiest game I've ever played. You play as a guy named Ness with a group of three friends on a quest to save the world. Expect anything pretty much random in this game from talking fire hydrons to street hippies and live performing rock bands.
donkey Kong 1+2+3 a really fun platformer series for the snes. It has allot of fun puzzle type levels.
