Before I begin, a heterosexual customer in my store got into a altercation with a two homosexual customers today and the result was not good to say the least I've never seen such plain ignorance in my life.We actually made a sign and stuck in in the window after we kicked all parties off the premises which said "NO PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION IN THE STORE THANK YOU -management" With that said..

Why is it that LGBT individuals (community)feels the need to openly flaunt "express" the fact that they are LGBT so heavily and act as if they need everyone to know there sexual orientation like its a damn reality show and then are surprised when straight people act a little different(especially the older generation of people) around them and then they are quick so quick to call others a "Bigot" or "intolerant pieces of *censored*" and then want to pull the whole discrimination card and go the whole 9 miles to defend the fact that straight people are all bigots and intolerant towards there lifestyle choices. You don't need to "express" by express I mean talk and walk and do all the hand gestures and dress up like your putting on a show for everyone to see, your making yourself a target for negative remarks and really your making a spectical out the fact that you LGBT, people can't negatively comment or discriminate against your sexual preference if you don't flaunt it and make a show out of yourself. And quite being so damn sensitive and expecting people to change their views on your lifestyle, you can't change people's views on your lifestyle that were brought up "raised" thinking that your life style is a sin and degenerate. Please please I beg you stop making a show out of the fact your LGBT it's not furthering your cause to raise awareness that that community of people is out there it's just setting you up for people to discriminate and say negative things about you.And Stop looking to be treated "Special" for your sexual orientation and deserving to get sympathy.

And for you straight people why do you have to stare at LGBT people like they are damn side show freaks there people too we are all human life's too short to be worried about the sexual preferences of people that aren't you!We all feel and express love. MY god leave the LGBT Community alone, don't make sly comments towards them don't stare and whisper about them just leave them be. How is there sexual preferences affecting you unless you engage in their lifestyle choices. Don't feel the need straight people to point at and comment on a man dressed differently than a tradition man would, don't feel the need to act as if they are a disease that needs to be quarantined, don't make faces of disgust towards them, just treat them like you would any other human being in a decent manner with a little dignity, thats all they want is acceptance and to be treated like they are human NOT like they are some sub species.

To everyone can't we all just agree that life is too damn short to argue over piety matters such as sexual preferences or sexual orientations,it truly doesn't matter it doesn't affect you what so ever what other peoples sexual orientations are can't we all just treat each other with tolerance and dignity and respect as human beings,Homo-sapiens is this really too much to ask for.

There are a few things here that interest me.

1.  "Why should LGBT individuals openly flaunt their sexuality?"  My goodness.  Why should straight people openly flaunt their heterosexuality by getting married and having bachelorette parties and doing "Kiss Cam" at sporting events, and things like that?  A person is just indulging in their personality and their culture.  It obviously bothers you because you're commenting on it.  If a woman wears a flattering dress that shows cleavage and long legs and she's beautiful, how is that any different from a  guy doing the same thing?  It's not.  They're enjoying themselves.  Do some people do it to get a reaction?  Yes, but that's no different from people wearing short-shorts or showing off their muscles or their loud systems in their cars or whatever.  They're looking for attention.  That's the same for everyone, straight or gay.  Also, I know a large portion of homosexual women and men, most of whom just look like people.

2.  The other side is if you're openly flaunting something, you have to (a) expect reaction because you're not mainstream and you know it and (b) not react to it.  Or, if you think someone's being offensive on purpose, just don't react anyway.  It's challenging but American society has come a long way in positive reaction towards the gay community.  Fighting and doing what you described isn't helping.

And those people that made comments, they're just plain intolerant and ignorant.  There's no fix for them.  They'll die unhappy and offended by everything in the world.
