Hey there!  It just occurred to me that I hadn't posted on the Newbie forum yet, so I figured I'd better get on that.  My name's FreshTillDeath56.  I've been around the gaming scene for a good while, and I love everything and anything about video games.  I don't follow much of the modern video game franchises on the newest consoles like the PS4 and XboxOne, but I do like talking about classic games and newer ones alike.  My two favorite games of all time are Saturn Bomberman on the Sega Saturn, and Wario Land 3 on the GBA (although it's kinda hard to say that because there are so many other great games out there).  I mainly play Playstation 3, and other classic systems like the Playstation 2, N64, and the NES.

To me it's easy to talk about video games because they offer so much to talk about.  What makes a story great, the importance of graphics, and why certain games are more memorable than others;  These are all things I love to discuss with video games of all different kinds.  This is only supposed to be the newbie forum so I'll rap this up, but I'll be around for sure, talking about whatever.  Glad to join the site!

Actually, not many people goes through an introduction thread, but probably is because they rarely notice this forum at all.

For someone that has written +25 reviews on this site and +15 game guides like me, I can reaffirm that videogames indeed have a ton to talk about. I do also relate to the fact of not playing many modern games, I used to own a ton more games when I had my PSX or my Gamecube than I've ever had on my Wii or PS3 and will ever have on my PS4. I also owned a ton of GBC games compared to the few I had for GBA, and the even less I own for PSP.

Don't worry about the intro thread. I was on the site for a few months myself before I started posting a lot in the forums and many people don't make an intro thread at all. I know I didn't.

Anyways, I hope you have fun with everything! Don't worry, I won't mark you down TOO Much for saying you don't follow modern systems as much, then say you mainly play PS3. That also doesn't include you saying PS3 and 2 were "classic systems" lol but I just like giving users a hard time.

Jordanv78 :  lol I suppose you could legitimately start the argument of what makes something "classic."  Old age?  Popularity?  I don't know, but I feel that a system or game is "classic"  when you have sunk a good amount of time and interest into it.  I would consider Uncharted 2 a classic game, even though it's not that old.  Classic I suppose means it stands the test of time.  Not sure.

I sort of agree with you on that classic games can be games that stand the test of time. But when most people say classic they are really meaning Retro. Which would be just older video games.
