The question here is simple, which series do you prefer, Sonic or Final Fantasy and why? For me, I'd personally say Final Fantasy because of how much content each of those games possess, as well as their amazing storylines. I love both series, but I prefer Final Fantasy overall.

I prefer Final Fantasy as well. Games are better overall, music is amazing and they actually have storylines that make me want to play the game and keep me coming back even after I've played and beaten the game.

I find it to be really hard to compare these two franchises. Really kinda unfair really. Both are solid titles, but If I'm forced to choose I would choose Final Fantasy, just because those are deeper experience type of games and I just generally gravitate towards RPG's.

Growing up, I was a huge fan of Sonic, and even had a stuffed sonic that I loved. I would wake up at seven am just to watch the original cartoon on Saturday mornings.  Sonic and their sequels were some of the best genesis games to pass an hour or two, but Final Fantasy is, by far, superior in every way.  Three ( or six ) was incredible as were most of them.  From the first Final Fantasy until eight were just mind blowing for me.  I liked the other ones afterwards, but they lost something somewhere I think.

I prefer Sonic games because I never have enough time to complete a Final Fantasy game, as I complete them in a month or so. Sonic games allow me to beat them in a sitting or two, which gives me more satisfaction in the completion department.

I have to go with Final Fantasy. RPG's have always been my favorite genre, and having a great story line is also a plus. Sonic can be lacking in both these categories. In my list of favorite games, a few Final Fantasy titles come before Sonic ever makes an appearance, which is why I had to choose Final Fantasy.
