Hello, Vizzed! The name's... ... ...well, you can read my name, so I've always found introducing myself that way kind of dumb, ha ha. I'm just here mostly to enjoy some games in the Retro Game Room, honestly, but I hope to also try to be a part of the boards when I have the chance!

Since I'm bad at describing myself on the fly, is there anything in specific that any of you might want to know about me? Let me know! I'll be happy to answer!

Well my favorite game in general would have to be Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, which is a game in the RGR. However, I do also own the game, and thus tend to play it on my actual console (fun fact: I'm practicing to hopefully speed run the game at Summer Games Done Quick this coming year!). So, given this, I'm gonna have to go with Klonoa Heroes: Densetsu no Star Medal, even though I can't actually understand Japanese.

I've had plenty of games, but I don't think that any of the ones I'm playing so far are any that I've owned before, no.

I vastly enjoy multiplayer, especially direct multiplayer. While I have done indirect competitions with my friends before (most of them revolving around the best Mario Kart times, in which I usually won because they weren't that great ), I vastly prefer actually playing directly against/with people. While on this subject, I might as well throw out that I compete in Super Smash Bros. I used to compete in Melee, playing as Luigi, but I have since moved on to Wii U, playing as Kirby. I'm not the best, but I can hold my own sometimes!

A friend's been wanting me to play a certain game on the Atari 7800 (I'll keep the name anonymous since I want to remain in the unknown about the game), and I had no knowledge on emulation to help me out with recording such a console. So, he showed me this site.

Eh, I don't really have many followings anywhere, specifically. I might start putting up more of my YouTube videos with links to here, I guess...?

If you enjoy multiplayer, be sure to check the Netplay function, it allows you to play with more users in determined consoles: NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Turbografx and PSX.

Since you're active in Youtube, you could record yourself while playing games around here as to advertise the site. Either that or you could become a streamer in Twitch or Hitbox, which is more or less the same. And be sure to follow Vizzed's Youtube channels, your videos might get added to one of those accounts as well (if you request it).

You say that someone recommended this site for you? That's so nice from him. If he's a registered user in here and has posted at least once, you could summon him here. If he's not, he might as well register, so you both can enjoy the site to its fullest.

We also have our own competitions. Every month there are like 3 of them, which you can see in Announcements. We also have some netplay tournaments every now and then, and other non-official competitions made by other users instead of the owner. I'm sure you will find something interesting to be a part of.

Funny. I actually do have a Twitch as well, only I've been on hiatus to focus on schoolwork for college (this is my first semester, and I want to make it count). Maybe when I get back on top of streaming, I could do that. As for recording myself while playing other games here, I could do that. I've got a couple of games in mind to do this with.

zanderlex : Ha, the joke's on you! I already read up on that! I already know I have both requirements (been registered for 7 days at least (yeah, I was late on starting to post, haha), and have 10+ posts), so it's only a matter of when I get regular member status.

So far, this site seems really cool. You all seem nice so far, and it's been fun to jump from topic to topic and find something to comment on here or there.

I only have one question, but it's related to the YouTube channel Vizzed has, and I already sent a PM to TheTrueUlti about it. So far, no other questions.

Why did you send the PM to him? Are you sure that he would be able to help you out with what you need to know?

It was a general question regarding posting vids to be uploaded to the channel, so I didn't want to make a topic over it (that, and I didn't want to bug anyone higher up or anything with my stupid questions). In hindsight, I guess that might've not been the smartest thing to do, but I guess it's a bit too late on that note. *shrugs* Whoops, then. My bad.

I guess I might as well just shoot the question here just in case: Is it fine to post a link in the description to your own YouTube channel? I'm kinda certain that it's a dumb question, but at the same time, I want to make sure it doesn't fall under some form of violation for advertising and whatnot. (I know I'm probably being a little overly safe, but at the same time, I AM still very new here and don't want to make a dumb mistake to start, and I didn't find anything specifying whether or not this was okay)

If you are uploading the video right to the game page, then you shouldn't link your channel to it. First off, your name will be in the description everyone would know its you and then could go to your channel. On top of that you have the forum to talk about your own channel and videos in the web splurge.

I'll probably be posting some stray speed run practice/attempts that I decide to record of Kirby and the Amazing Mirror in the coming days, as just a heads up of what exactly I'm gonna do with uploading there.
