Degrees of Separation Between Mario and Several Different People in the Video Game Universe

This is basically an explanation that Mario is the center of the gaming universe and can be connected in very few steps, or many steps if you want. The highest number of steps so far is still 4, achieved by Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia of the Star Wars video game series.

Some games have multiple versions of itself, whether it be re-releases, console-varying special edition, or regional differences. When I talk about a game, like NBA Street Jam V3, I mean either one or all versions of that game, but I won’t be console, year, or region specific.
Also, a game will only be added if that character related to Mario makes a cameo. It can’t just be a reference.
