1st OR 3rd person view

i prefer the 3rd person view,i guess i like to see my character and i feel i have more control over him,but it seems like most games now are 1st person with no option to change,does everyone prefer 1st or should they give the option to change it ??

i prefer 1st person. 3rd person, your guy is always in the way as for other games, like RPGs, i prefer 3rd person, but just all out shooting games, 1st is my preference.

I prefer First Person Shooter games. Because Third Person Shooters tend to be hard to aim and see certain things around. Plus I like the realness that a First Person Shooter game brings and if they would add that option to certain games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil it would really add to the scare factor a lot!

i prefer both, seeing how i ended up switching from one consol to another and ended up liking both very much. for example. i used to just be a xbox fanboy which was rite around the first halo came out, played it and luved the first person shooters ever since then. later about oh i say 2 years my friend invited me over to play the ps2 with him. and played a game called socom which was third person. i ended up loving it and joining him on it everyday. so i became a first and 3rd person lover in shooters

They actually were going to do that for the first resident evil but it actually took away from the scare factor. I actually like the way they had it for the fourth one. I've never played the fifth one. Probably never will since I don't see it as an actual resident evil game.

I prefere the 1st person type myself. Your field of view is narrowed, but you have to control the aim more which makes it more difficult, but also more flexible and open for greater skill.
