I have always known about Cake Boss, but I just watches the show for the first time today a couple of times and it was so cool. I never knew a show about cake would be so much fun but it was because you see them make a working washing machine cake, or a massive cake that has a working Ferris wheel on it. I've been inside the cake boss cafe in NYC, but never bought anything but now I really want to try out some of the things that they make.

If i can save up enough, I might go during comic con, since it's right there but its very expensive, probably about as expensive as the people who buy the cakes on the show. I'm pretty sure most of those cakes can go well beyond $1000, as I've seen some crazy setups.

I also like the side stories they put in that don't relate to the cake, like they mentioned a family members birthday party, a wedding anniversary, and a Ferris wheel ride.

Couldn't you just get a cupcake though? Instead of an entire cake? I mean it would be cheaper maybe to get like a few cupcakes instead of like an entire cake for 500+ dollars :o

Those cakes look delicious! Although I don't think there's any way all three of us could eat it all. Those cakes are probably a ridiculous amount of money though. You should try a cupcake or a cannoli from there and tell us how it was!

Oh. Yeah that's show is good to watch at times. I watch many things from food network so I can grow more as a baker and learn new things. If I can't get what I want from the tv then I would go to youtube to find it. Cake boss is an extremely good show to watch. Sometimes I do crave to want to eat some of their cakes, as it is very appeasing. I haven't watched it for sometime now, and maybe I should go back to watching it from the beginning on my laptop.

I've watched the show and the cakes look awesome but they don't look like they taste great. They seem too artificial looking to also be tasty.

geeogree : I feel that if their cakes weren't as good as they made them out to be, then there wouldn't be multiple cafes open for them around the country that get a ton of business. Of course, some of their special cakes might have more effort in design since that is what they are for, but their normal cakes seem to be great and very popular as well.

geeogree : I remember there was one episode where they had to make the washing machine cake that worked, most if it wasn't cake but just wooden planks and wires, with only like a pound of frosting and stuff, so its things like that are more for design, but I would still eat a pound of frosting with no problem.
