Hello gamers and welcome to another of my gaming guides. As always, this will help you go quickly through the game in order to finish it and to level up properly. Note that the unique format of this game makes every quest converge towards a same goal: defeat Dark Forces. So when you see “Refer to X’s quest”, it means that everything from that point on will be the same as X’s quest. The only major difference between the 3rd-generation characters is their strength; the more Layan blood they have the weaker they are physically, but the better they are with magic. Their strength is, in order: Crys (Ayn + Sari), Adan (Laya + Nial) and Aron (Nial + Alair), Sean (Thea + Ayn). Crys is the only one without healing techniques so you might need to buy extra trimates (Kara won’t be able to heal either). This game also features a very interesting bug. When you marry Lena at the end of the first generation and use an escapipe while in Landen castle, you will warp back to Cille dungeon and confront the king again! It will be extremely easy since all enemies will be chirpers, i.e. the easy yellow bird around Landen. But to keep playing the game, you will need to marry Alair. Also, you will still have to make up for all the objects you didn’t get in Nial’s real quest, i.e. the Laya pendant, Wren’s subparts, etc. I will therefore assume that the game has no bug and go on with regular quests. There is also another bug involving an escapipe. Once you get jailed after Maia gets kidnapped, use it to escape the dungeon. Talk to the king, who salutes your clever method but will ask you to press reset anyway… The first generation: Introduction After the scrolling text walk straight to the castle at the other end of the village. Once in the castle walk straight and take the left-hand corridor right after the guards. Walk to the end and go up to enact your wedding. Once you gain control again open all three treasures to get a knife, 300 mesetas and a monitor (your overworld map). Go back to the prison gate and talk to Lena. Once back in Landen, I suggest you sell your knife and get a sword instead – it gives you a little defense and focuses you attack better. Go outside. 1. Finding Mieu Walk south to Yaata. Talk to the old man next to a fountain (he’s all in white) on the eastern side of the village. Exit Yaata and walk east. Cross the first bridge you see and walk south to Ilan. Go near the back exit and talk to the man in blue closest to it (talking about a woman that never blinks). Exit Ilan and cross the bridge again. Walk east, following the coastline until it goes south. At that point go up, east between 2 green mountain ranges and up around a lake where Mieu is. Talk to her and she will join. You can adjust her magic in Yaata if you want; try giving emphasis on Res for now (note: if you haven’t fought a single fight with Rhys, he and Mieu will be in synch when leveling up). Always make sure she has 2 claws as she’s a born fighter. 2. Restoring the climate
2.1. Finding Wren Talk to the old man next to the fountain again and he will give you a ride in his boat. On the island walk south-west to enter your first dungeon (make sure you have antidotes, there will be plenty of rats. Being around level 5 should be enough). Dungeon: Sapphire Cave Follow the southern wall west (all the way) to get to an escapipe. Walk north, following the western wall all the way to get a shield (money!!). Walk north, turning left when you get to get a dimate. From there follow the western wall south, and when you can walk north to talk with Lyle. Open his chest to get a sapphire (you can equip it on you buckle). Go back to Yaata and rest if you need. Follow the coastline east, and keep walking east when it turns south (you will go between 2 brown mountain ranges). When you see a temple walk north to enter a cave. Cave to Aquatica Walk east and up north when you first can. Follow that path and take the second path south. Take the first path east, south, first path east you find and follow the southern “wall” to the exit. Walk east to the coastline, and then south to the village of Rysel. Powerup if you have the money and exit the village. Cross the bridge, go east and walk south of the first ruined village you see to enter a cave Cave to Aridia Follow the path, going left when you can. Follow that path, turn right and right some more when you can to get a dimate. From there walk straight west, up and west to another dimate. Walk up, straight west to an antidote, south, west and out the cave. Walk around the cave (north, west, south) and walk west when the mountain goes east. Once you cross a cyborg looking like Mieu, go straight south (towards where the water starts in the middle of the desert, when you look at your monitor). At the tip of the oasis is the cyborg village of Hazatak. Powerup (buy a shot if you have the money) and rest if you need and exit. Walk straight west from Hazatak, slightly up to go between two mountain ranges and into the first dungeon you see. Dungeon: Wren’s Cave Walk west, slightly up above a block in the middle of the way, up the second path you see and straight west (you will see Wren beyond the wall). Go south when you can, following the eastern wall until here where you will walk west and north to can a dimate. Go back to the circle intersection, going east and north to get an escapipe. From there follow the eastern wall, going up in a large room where Wren will join you after you talk to him. 2.2. Aquatica deserves its name now Go back to Hazatak to rest and powerup. Now that you have more people make sure Mieu’s healing focuses on Gires. I usually don’t use attack magic but favor Wren’s Gra to attack a whole row. Exit the village and walk straight east. Start going south when you see a Layan Temple, and walk east once you see another temple. Enter the “space capsule.” Cave: Weather and moon control, part 1 Follow the path up, going east of the first staircase you meet. Keep going east until you meet another staircase, which you should take. Go east of it to get a trimate; go back downstairs and move back east to encounter Lyle (you can give him two staffs if you want). Talk to him so he can join you team. Continue walking east until you can go south; do, and follow the path until you hit the weather control (a giant piece of machinery in the middle of your way). Simply press A and Wren will solve the problem. 3. Choosing your wife 3.1. Rescuing Lena Exit the cave and make your way back to the cavern leading to Aquatica (it’s about straight north from where you are). You can now access a boat shy north of Rysel. Once on the other side go north to enter the Layan village of Shusoran. Dungeon: Shusoran dungeon and castle Enter the northwest-most fountain. Walk straight north to get a trimate. Go back south and hug the southern wall by moving east until you hit a staircase going into the castle. Once there, move northwest to go back inside the dungeon. Follow that straightforward path and take the first stairs up you see. Go south, west and north between columns of trees. Take the first opening you see, go downstairs and walk south to get a trimate. Go back upstairs, hug the northern wall to the left and go back downstairs. Go south and take the opening west of you to get another trimate. Go back south, due east and north up some stairs. Follow the path without deviating from it. Unequip Lyle before the path get larger south of you; he will leave your team and get in front of Lena. Continue walking south, following the path to your first boss fight. Boss fight: Lyle He doesn’t have much hit points, but you will have to fight him solo. Make sure you have plenty of healing items because he can use magic. Being around level 13 should do the trick. After the fight Lena will join you (don’t bother giving her top-notch equipment as the generation is nearing its end) and you can walk freely around Shusoran. 3.2. Rescuing Maia Now, you have to walk back all the way back to Aridia and where Wren restored the weather control. Cave: Weather and moon control, part 2 From where Wren restored the weather, go southwest and take the first stairs you see. Walk northeast to get a trimate and go back downstairs. Walk straight west, up the second road north you see and up some stairs. Go south, west and press A next to a similar machine you saw downstairs. After the animation, go back to Shusoran where a land bridge will form behind the castle. Enter Cille. Dungeon: Cille dungeon and castle The shops boast the best equipment in the game, which is of course overprices. Enter the 3rd fountain from the left at the back of the village. Follow the path, go right at the first intersection you cross and turn left and the 2nd path you cross. Go down first chance you get to pick up a trimate. Go back up, left, down and up the stairs you meet. You are now within the castle walls. Walk north between the trees, right when you meet the northern wall and circle around the castle until you can enter it (straight north of the castle gate). Go to the left and follow the path and go north into the throne room to confront King Cille. Be about level 15 to win easily Boss fight: King Cille and Dryads 2*3 (come in 2 groups of 3, if you use magic). Your first task is to kill the Dryads as they can cast Gires. If Wren has a ceramic shot they will go down quickly. King Cille uses Gra abundantly, so make sure Mieu casts Gires as needed (make her cast Fanbi on Rhys to increase his attack power). Just attack him and he will go down. After the fight you will be confronted with a choice: will you marry Maia or Lena? The second generation 1. Nial (Rhys + Lena) 1.1. Rescue Alair After the introduction, exit Landen and cross the bridge west. Simply follow the coastline until you walk directly under green mountains. Then walk straight west to brown mountains, south when you hit another green mountain range, east between 2 green mountain ranges, and east and around a brown mountain range into a cave. Cave to Elysium Walk straight south of the stairs to the end, west, north and west to a ceramic ribbon. Go back south and turn west here Follow the ensuing path, going north when you can to a laser shot. Go back south, west and north of the stairs you encounter. Keep walking until you can go east to get a ceramic shield. Now go back to the stairs to exit. Simply go west to a green mountain range, and then south to North Divisia. Go south to enter the castle, go past the guard, east when you can and north into the second room to enter the dungeon. Divisia Dungeon Just follow the straightforward path north of the stairs, going south to an opening to get a trimate. Go all the way back to the stairs and back into the castle. Walk west, south, west, north between to rooms (into the throne room) and west back into the dungeon. Walk north, east and follow the path until you hit an intersection going west. Take it and walk until you find a path going north. Take it, talk to Alair and she will tag along. Keep going south and take the stairs to exit the dungeon. Exit the room where you are, go east and south to exit the castle to South Divisia. Powerup and rest if you need and exit the city. 1.2. Waking up Laya Walk west, north between the mountains, straight west and west north of a small green mountain range. Keep walking until you can go south; do it and walk east to a brown mountain range where your next dungeon is. Dungeon: Rebels’ dungeon Walk straight north till you hit a wall, west and follow that path to a force helm. Go back to the wall, walk east and follow the path, taking a hunting band on the way (for Ryan, who will join you soon). Keep walking due east, following the path until here Take the western path to get a ceramic gear. Come back to the intersection and go north. Follow the path and go south when you can. Follow that path until you hit a large wall; from there go west, past the guards and north to Ryan (who wears a green coat). After a scene he will join you (he can attack with two staffs too). Don’t forget to take the sub parts, laser claw and laser sword west of where Ryan stood. Exit the dungeon. Make your way back to North Divisia. Then go back to Satera (the cave is northeast of Divisia), cross the bridge and follow the coastline east until you find a cave to which the TwinsRuby react. Enter it. Cave to Aridia Go down, east at the second path and north to a force claw. Go east, north and west to a chest with a force knife. Go back to where the first chest was; go east to another chest with a force sword and keep walking east. Go south when you can and exit the cave. Once outside go back to Hazatak. Explore slightly southeast of the city until Wren transforms into a sub. Once in this new world, walk west. Enter the temple at the end of the path, go towards the back and talk with Laya (the younger sister of THE Laya). Go back to Aridia. 1.3. Laya’s Pendant Once you are back, follow the river west. Keep following it until it goes south; about midway walk west to enter a cave. Cave to Frigidia Walk south and follow the path to a laser knife. Go back to the entrance and go west, going around an obstacle in your way. You will eventually get a ceramic bow (it’s better than Laya’s bow). Keep walking west to a chest with a force staff. Walk back east, south when you can, east away from obstacles and follow the path until you can go east. From there, keep walking east to get a ceramic crown. Go back to these obstacles and go between them. Keep walking until you see the stairs west of you. Exit the cave. You are now in for a VERY long walk; you need to follow the frozen coastline west ALL the way (you might have to go around mountains at time, but that’s the general road). Once the shore is north of you simply keep walking east. Your goal is to reach the land mass in the middle. Enter Mystoke, at the end of the peninsula. Dungeon: Mystoke Castle and Dungeon Walk straight until you hit a wall (inside the castle walls) and walk west. Go north at the second column of trees and back east. Hug the castle wall and go down the second column of trees from the eastern-most wall. Go down the stairs into the dungeon. Go west, north when you can and west when you hit a wall. Go up the stairs. You will go up and down the stairs a couple of times. Once you hit an intersection in the dungeon, go east to a chest with a trimate. Go upstairs, and once back downstairs walk east. Go south of the stairs you see and take those further down. Go up and down a couple of stairs and you will end up in the throne room, where Laya’s Pendant is. Use it if you want and exit Mystoke. 1.4. Confrontation with Lune Now, make your way back to Elysium. Since you have Laya’s Pendant, all you have to do is to find a Laya Temple northwest of Mystoke (refer to the previous image to see where it is approximately) – it’s east of the cave that would normally lead there. Once in Elysium walk north and follow the shoreline west. Cross a bridge and enter Aerone. Once you’re all geared up walk east on the path near the entrance to enter a short cave. Just walk north, and go west when you can to board a shuttle to Dhalia. Walk south, go up the stairs, walk west up more stairs and west some more on a glass floor to reach another short dungeons. Take the force crown (keep it for yourself) and force gear; make sure you undress Laya and Ryan and give their gears to Wren and Mieu to sell it later (but do keep Ryan’s staffs). Walk west right under the stairs and walk towards Lune, who stands in your way. You will have to fight him Boss battle: Lune, Murafire*3 and Clique*3 As against King Cille, get rid of the line of monsters protecting Lune. He is very strong and abundantly casts Tsu. Make sure you cast Gires accordingly, and Fanbi for Nial when you can. After your victory, you will once again be confronted with a tough choice: who to marry… 2. Ayn (Rhys + Maia) 2.1. The cyborg army progresses After the introduction, exit Cille and go back to Shusoran. Exit the city and make your way across the sea back to Rysel. Talk to the second man in blue you meet (by walking straight north when you enter) and make your way back to Cille (there will be monsters in Shusoran once more). Talk to the lone man left of the item shop and make your way to Aridia. Once there make your way to Hazatak to freshen up. Talk to the robot who walks left of the “female” robot and exit town. Walk due west and enter the first cave you see (where you first met Wren). Dungeon: Remnants of Cille and Shusoran Simply go where you first met Wren and talk to everyone against the wall. Take the Dragon’s Tear from the chest and exit the dungeon 2.2. Saving Thea Make your way back to Hazalak to freshen up. Exit the city and walk due east. When you see a Laya Temple, go up to the next mountain range you see to enter a cave Cave to Draconia Go up from where you are (until the northern edge of the cave) and go east until you get a force ribbon. Come back to the entrance, go south, east, north and east to a laser shot. Go south of the chest, west on the second path and get a ceramic helm. Walk back east (to the end), north and east to go outside. Follow the coastline east, cross a bridge and go into the village of Lensol (it’s empty for now). Don’t buy anything as there is better stuff in the next village. Go east towards the “Dragon’s head” (look at the map) and cross the bridge. Keep walking north until the village of Endora. Talk to the woman you meet at the entrance and the man northwest of the village (close to the fountains), powerup if you can and walk back to Lensol. Dungeon: Lensol Castle and Dungeon Enter the castle proper and take the 2nd corridor to your right and circle around the throne room. Keep walking until you are in the dungeon. Walk straight south, take the small opening above you to get a trimate. Walk back north, walk east when you can, then north (2nd occasion), south (second occasion), east and north first chance you get and follow that path. Go north first chance you get to go back inside the castle. Walk due south inside another “tree fence” and walk right to get back inside the dungeon. Hug the southern wall until you see a jail gate; walk near it and walk north some more to free Thea. Exit Lensol. 2.3. Back to Landen Make your way back to Aridia and talk to your family. Exit the cave and make your way to the cave leading to Landen (see Nial’s quest). Once back in Landen follow the shoreline and make your way back to Landen. Dungeon: Landen castle and dungeon Enter the Landen dungeon through the magic store. Go north, east, south and enter the room for a dimate. Go south, east as far as you can, north, east, north and follow the main path until you have several paths ahead. Go south to get a trimate, and go north ; take the second path west until you meet Sari. Boss fight: Sari, Commsat *3 and Zarachne *3 She’s one tough fighter. After disposing of the front line punch Sari as hard as you can. After the fight she joins you. The treasure behind her is a dimate. 2.4. Lyle’s true face and the Blue Moon Even though the generation is ending soon, it’s worth giving Sari the best knives you can find. Now make your way back to Draconia. Once there to Endora follow the shore line east, down a cape to talk to a familiar dragon. Once on the other shore he will reveal himself as Lyle. After his death walk east to Techna. After powering up enter the castle. Dungeon: Techna castle and dungeon Follow the path east (before entering the castle proper), circle around and enter the first room you see. Go south to go downstairs and into the cave. Walk straight west to get a trimate. Now go back east past the stairs; go down between two big pieces of machinery and go west first chance you get. Follow that path, always going west, north, west and south. Talk to the old man so he can let you through. Follow the path to a space ship that will bring you to Satellite (a.k.a. Azura). Dungeon: Azura ship and cave Walk south on the glass floor, east and up some stairs, east and up more stairs, west and up more stairs. Walk on the glass floor east to get into the cave. Go south and walk east second chance you get. Walk to the end, then north, east, south the second chance you get, east, south, east and walk to the end to confront Siren. Undress Thea and Sari (!!) to sell their defensive gear later. A level-15 Ayn should be enough Boss fight: Siren, Flash * 3 and Mech *3 After taking care of the front line (which shouldn’t take long considering you have three fighters with double weapons), unleash all hell on Siren. He casts Tsu abundantly but it’s not very strong (about 20 damage). His attack, however, can cause over 40 damage. After the fight, you will have to choose your wife…
The third generation 1. Aron (Nial + Alair) After the introduction, re-enter the cave where you fought Lune. Cave to the aero parts Move west under the stairs. Then go south to the end, west and up the first path you see. Keep walking until you see broken glass; go west, north and east. Keep walking until you hit a chest with a lacon gear. Go a little south to get a lacon band (for Kara). Go back north and walk east as far as you can. Now go south to broken glass; go around it and resume going south to the end of the path. Walk west, take the lacon crown (for the bow caster) on the way and continue walking west until here Follow that path, walking east when you can and follow that path to get the aero parts. Exit the dungeon, exit Dahlia and get back down to Earth. 1.2. The legendary weapons Before going on with your quest you need to get Laya back. So make your way back to Aridia and walk (you can’t fly) back to Hazalat. Once she’s back in your team get back to Frigidia. Walk west where the Temple to Elysium is, and walk due west from there. Walk south past a cave and walk on the “tarmac” to transform Wren into a plane. Fly south, and then follow the river east and north to the floating city of Shyhaven (note that New Palma, the city south, has the best weapons in the game. However, only the planar claw and planar slicer are worth getting. The best armors are in Mystoke). Dungeon: Skyhaven city and cave Don’t worry, there won’t be fights in the city. Go up the stairs and follow the “snowy” maze. In the second snowy maze, take the western path, going west at the first intersection. Keep walking south, go down the stairs and talk to the Elder Council. Move pass them and enter the cave. Walk east and south, and west when you first can. Follow that path and go south when you can, and immediately west. Go south and west, south and west (you’re on the southern edge of the dungeon) and keep walking west to get a star mist (gires-casting item). Go back east, going north when you first can. Then, west, south, west, south, west, south and west (on the southern edge) and keep walking west to get a laconia ribbon and a moon dew (rever-casting item). From the moon dew chest walk east, going north the second chance you get. From there: north as far as you can, west, north the second chance you get (on the northern edge of the cave) and west to get a royal crown. Go back east, south and west on the 2nd path to get Wren’s aqua parts (he transforms into an aquaskimmer) and a hunting bow. Exit the cave and Skyhaven. Once outside fly back northwest where you first flew. Warp to Elysium, and fly northeast to warp back to Landen (there is a tarmac close to Aerone) – just land northeast of Divisia. Follow the shoreline northwest until you see a pier; walk towards it and Wren will transform. Make your way due east (on the island where you got the sapphire) and go around the island. Make your way to the sunken temple (remember the old sailor?) and Wren will become a submarine. Once inside the temple go west, north when you first can, south into a room, west and towards the Sword of Okario. After a scene exit the temple; once outside just make your way to where you came from. Back on terra firma, follow the shoreline east to get to the tarmac. Fly northeast to Ilan to land, then make your way to the temple leading to Aridia. Make your way to where the Mieu look-alike cyborg roamed (about north of Hazalat); she stopped. Talk to her and she will leave Miun’s claw. Once you have that treasure make your way to Aquatica (not Draconia, as the Elders told you). Walk a short distance east to a tarmac, and fly to Shusoran. Once you land go to the pier to navigate northeast (on the map, you can see an isolated island with a mountain). Land there and enter the dungeon. Dungeon: Sage Isle Follow the windy path and go east when you can. Keep walking east, following that path to get a royal emel (if you think Kara is too weak), a Vulcan and Siren’s Shot once you talk to him (you can’t miss him; he looks like Wren). Now walk straight west to get a royal sword; then take the first path north, going west to get a royal shield. Go back east and south at the second path you see. Talk to all the elders and exit. Now make your way back to Skyhaven. Talk to the elders to have your legendary weapons become Nei weapons (no link with Phantasy Star II). Don’t forget to equip them back. Now go and sell any excess equipment, which might be enough to get you everything you need to buy the ultimate protection and weapons you need. Once it’s done you need to warp to Terminus, the ultimate world. You can get there by flying due east of New Mota, then north of the frozen river and west of the cave you see. Go around the mountain to get to the Laya Temple. Just walk east to the tarmac (you can see it) and fly to Lashute. From the tarmac, just fly due east; you should be able to see it (if not just fly slightly south). Final cave: Lashute City and Cave Contrary to Skyhaven there will be fight in the city, and the monsters are vicious. So much that, even when you surprise them, you will have a hard time escaping. Which makes the perfect occasion to level up. Have your weakest character (Laya or Nial’s descendants version of Kara) around level 40 to get the best chances. Anyway, walk north, west and north up some stairs. Walk east of the, er, Lashutian to the end and up some stairs. Go northwest up more stairs, then west and south on some more stairs. Follow the path to an intersection; go north up some stairs. In the snowy maze you meet take the north western path. Follow it to the end, then go straight south to some stairs. Follow that path to your next boss (just talk to him). Boss battle: Rulakir, Azurfire*3 and Murafire*3 As with previous fights, take down the line in front of the real boss (if Kara has 2 slicers, it should be easy). Rulakir is very tough, casting Tsu pretty much every round. Depending on who’s on your team, you might need to cast Gires twice per round as he’s also very quick. Take him down and enter the final cave of the game. Although there are treasures here, they are not worth getting if you have the ultimate armors. Go south of the stairs and east on the 3rd path you encounter. Walk north first chance you get (and to the end), east, north the 5th chance you get, east, south the 2nd chance you get, east the first chance you get, south when you see a chest and go towards it for the final fight. Final boss: Dark Force, Lefty and Righty It’s the final fight, so give it all you’ve got. First, take out the hands to improve your chances of winning. Focus your attacks on his left hand (on the right side of the screen) as it’s constantly healing. The body’s physical attack is very strong; he also loves to use Tsu. Keep healthy, casting Fanbi when you can and you will finish it. Enjoy the ending, which varies slightly among the 4 heroes.
2. Adan and Gwyn (Nial + Laya) Once you gain control get out of Landen (you can freely explore the dungeon; refer to Ayn’s quest to know where and what they are). Go south, follow the shore line east and go southeast of the cave leading to Aridia to instead warp in a Laya Temple. In Aridia, go south until you hit a brown mountain range (near the southern border of the world). Go west of the cave you see to warp in another Laya temple. In Frigidia go west until you hit a mountain range where you can see a Laya temple on the other side. Go around it and enter the temple. Once in Elysium, make your way to Aerone, and then back to Dahlia. From that point on, please refer to Aron’s quest. Just skip the part where you need to get Laya back. 3. Sean (Ayn + Thea) After the introduction, you will be in the middle of Aridia. Use your monitor to make your way back to the cave leading to Landen (northwest of where you landed). Walk back to Landen, go talk with Queen Sari. Exit Landen and make your way to Elysium. From that point on, please refer to Nial’s quest. Yes, you will have to do everything he did, plus all of Aron’s quest. However, there won’t be any monsters in Divisia nor will you meet anyone in the Rebels’ cave. Also you won’t have to fight on the surface in Dahlia. 4. Crys (Ayn + Sari) Simply exit Landen and make your way to Elysium.

Great job with this game guide man! I myself haven't played this game yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to come back to this guide if I get lost and need a bit of assistance. I have a question though, which game do you think is better, this one or Phantasy Star IV? |

gamerforlifeforever2 : That you for your kind words. TO answer your question: story wise I still prefer III because of its 4 different endings, but overall it is IV hands down. It has some of the best graphics and music of the 16 bits era, even surpassing Final Fantasy VI in many respects. |

Wow. This must have been a major undertaking. I've played the Phantasy Star games and this one is probably the most complicated one because of the generational aspect of the game. Makes things interesting and adds to the replay value.
I agree that this one is good because of the multiple endings. I have never actually managed all 4 but I also haven't had the patience to play through in order to get all of them. Have you done a Phantasy Star 4 review? I could probably write a pretty comprehensive one from memory because of how many times I've played that game. I think the story is better in 4 but the replay-ability of 3 makes it good too. I agree that this one is good because of the multiple endings. geeogree : Phantasy Star IV was actually my very first review... so it's not so great. I also made a guide, my wordiest so far (over 10k words). And yes, Phantasy Star III can be complex at times, especially with Ayn. I mean, to basically have to do EVERYTHING ELSE in a blitz, and not with the easiest characters (either the weakest, with lots of magic, or the strongest without healing spells) And yes, Phantasy Star III can be complex at times, especially with Ayn.
