I got contacts today, so they have been a little itcy. They also are hard putting them on...Anyone wear them?

Must be your first time then, eh? I've been wearing contacts for several years. Mainly just in my left eye. They get easier to put in the more you keep doing it. Whenever I get contacts I like to get opaque colors. I have gotten a few in the past- Hazel, Autumn, Turquiose. I've even had a pair of black-light reactant contacts that covered the whole sclera. I didn't use them a lot. They made my eyes water like crazy since they weren't used to being completely covered. You thinking about getting colored contacts in the future?

Yeah, Maybe...My eyes are a light brown color, so I might get one with color, right now I am trying to adjust with regular contact lenses.

I tried em out for a while but I just couldn't stand to wear them long term. My eyes got itchy too often and I always felt like my eyes were straining while wearing them. I liked not having to wear glasses but I just couldn't handle putting them in either. I don't do well with touching my own eyes so having contacts were tough. My eyes even just got itchy talking about it

So Geeogree, do you wear glasses, because since you are an adult you can have laser surgeries instead...

Yeah, that's the way it is with me. I actually don't wear my contacts a whole lot, usually just when I'm playing sports. I'm glad I have them though, 'cause when I went on a ski trip with my youth group last month, my glasses got broken. It was a good thing I had my contacts! (and a good thing my mom had already ordered new glasses for me)

My eyesight is bad enough that I had to wear glasses everyday for school, so I guess now I will wear contacts a lot in place of glasses, but its always handy to have a spare pair of glasses in-case the contacts fall out or some-thing, (I wear disposible ones that I throw away at the end of each day).

i have sorta bad eyesight. i think its from all the reading ive done. i used to have perfect sight, but now im nearsighted. things far away are kinda blurry. i think i need glasses, but im thinking about getting contacts too.

Thats how it is for me...I'm nearsighted also, and I read and read and read, in my spare time...also I may be near-sighted, because I'm on the computer a lot.

I wore glasses for a year and a half before I got contacts, so my eyes are not sunken in, but if you have glasses for several years, your eyes sink in.
