Tom, the plugin developer, optimized the Play Game popup window so that it'll be compatible with the next RGR Plugin update. While doing so, he also made a few changes that'll also affect users using all version of the RGR Plugin. Most of those changes you guys probably wont notice except for a big change.

The games should now load a lot faster! Before the games would take a few seconds to load and sometimes when the chat was having troubles loading, the games would even take longer (sometimes up to 30 seconds or possibly fail to load all together). Now the games load almost instantly!

We've also added a Log button which will be very handy for when users have issues with the plugin. By clicking the Log button, the plugin will give the user detailed information which will help Tom and the staff troubleshoot various problems. Normally when users report issues, it's very hard for us to know what's going on with their plugin but having them paste to us the log will greatly increase the chances of issues being resolved. To make room for this button, we removed the Pause/Unpause button since those were rarely ever used and no longer work anyway.

I noticed the games loading a lot faster since I have a great Wi-Fi connection I also noticed the Log button. Even though it doesn't look very useful I'm sure that in some situations it can be.

You and Tom keep up the nice job

PacmanandMariofan : Oh I forgot about that. He added that and also removed the Pause/Unpause button. The Log button is a big deal and I've updated my first post with more info.

That's awesome! With all the sites speed increases, it's great to see the game windows getting some similar treatment.

What's the possibility of having a 'report an error' button that would PM the RGR Staff with a copy of the log? Similarly to 'Report this Post', just copying the log in the PM box (so you have a chance to type something before sending it).

Ive actually noticed that games I've already played seem to load a little slower actually. Like is pauses to "check plugin" then loads. Its just a slight difference, but I was wondering what was going on before I saw this.

This was using Win 10 in Chrome. I'll test my other browsers a little later to see if it's across the board.

I'll 2nd what Jordan reported; the plugin hangs if you have the game stored in the cache.

It does load a lot quicker if you're playing the game for the first time though.

Edit: I wouldn't say this is an improvement for large games though (like disc-based or certain MAME games). The progress of the game being loaded is removed, so there isn't any indication that the game is actually loading aside from the "Downloading Primary game ROM".

Never mind, just noticed that the download status is now at the top of the window.

I don't really know where to post this, I figured it would be here as it seems it was this update which triggered the glitch.

Since it was implemented, I've always chosen the "Spend 0 Viz" option to play games. However, lately, something was very wrong with it. The ad loaded in the first place, but then the game started, overlapping the ad completely. This leads to the ad being there but at the same time not being there, and sometimes the screen acts weird by showing both the game and the ad at the same time. Sound-based ads aren't much of a problem, because they last a determined period of time, but those who have a "Start Game" button remain there and there's no way to get rid of them.

I should also point out that the ads never loaded as they should, since the game starts even before the ad loads. However, before this update, I was able to maximize the game window and the ad would appear on the lower left corner. Now, not even this works.

Just if it's important, I'm using Chrome on Windows 7. Firefox doesn't have that much of a change for me lately, so I'm expecting this issue to be present there as well.
