Whether it be a sword, a gun, or even a special weapon that can only be found by some manner of BS, we all have a favorite weapon that we have found and or either used in games. And I found myself thinking this...what is my favorite? And honestly, I had to think...who else shares this question? Maybe my fellow gamers have a similar favorite or so on.

For me it is a tough decision though. To me, a sword is the most honorable weapon, but so is the spear, but then I remembered a weapon that I used in a game that made me remember my love for the two. You see, when I was young, I played a game called Dungeons and Dragons, and it is indeed a very personal favorite of mine. And that would be the Blade staff. Think of it as a staff but on the ends are swords. And sense mine was a master work made out of Mythril, which for those who do not know was one of the stronger metals in the game, it was a weapon that was light but very strong. It was a personal favorite.

Now for those who are going to say, "But wait Zeeg, you who is master of gaming, how can you say that the Blade staff is your favorite when your talking about video games?" Truth, my friends, it would be hard to justify it, if it wasn't for the fact that there has been many D&D video games who have Blade staffs. So I say its a feasible argument.

I would say either tidus sword from final fantasy 10 I love how the way his weapon looks so cool! Or Vincent valentines guns on final fantasy 7 I think they are both looking cool piece of weapons. Plus they make serious damage when facing enemies  

The Gungrave anime is one of my favorites, so of course I'd like his weapons in the game, which the anime was based off of!

   I'm talking about Beyond the Grave's Coffin. He can single-handedly take down a small army with just his Coffin. It's got a Gatling gun, anit-tank missles, and even a large missle launcher. It also holsters his two guns, the Right and Left Head of Cerberus, which those guns alone can do some insane damage. And, if all that's not enough, he can even smack things into oblivion with the coffin itself.

   Great anime, fun game. XD

   Oh, and I live for loot-based games, and I love collecting every weapon in games, even if I know I'll never use them (Like in Way of the Samurai 1 and 2). So, I have tons of other weapons that come to mind, but that Coffin is my favorite.

I like the Spur from Cave Story. It's just...such a beautiful little gun. :') I also like the Silver Bow in Kid Icarus Uprising. Although that could be because I made it with a hilariously overpowered list of effects.

My favorite weapon in video games... Well, since I never give the same answer twice, I won't think about it for too long and I'll just list one of them.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance's "High Frequency (HF) Wooden Sword". In the game it comes from, this weapon is a pacifist alternative to its more gruesome and bloody cousin HF blades. And putting the sheer challenge of using it aside, I find how non-lethal it is hilarious in contrast to the dark themes present in the game.

In short, I'd really like one of these.

My favorite is the RPG from the Resident Evil series, because it takes down the final boss in nearly every game, and it feels amazing every time.

My favorite weapon is a classic that you've probably all heard of...the Spread Gun from Contra. I have a feeling it's supposed to be a shotgun, but everyone calls it the Spread gun. It fires quickly, does decent damage and fires in a huge spread that hits anything you point it at. It has all the power of the Laser without the skill required to precisely aim the Laser.

I liked cloud's buster sword.Then again, I always liked any kind of giant sword in gaming.

NovemberJoy : The Spread gun is awesome, I do concede to that. Technically its a blunderbuss, which is a retro form of a short gun. But technically the blunderbuss is stronger due to it being pure gunpowder and not cartridges.

I love the battle rifle from the Halo games. The sound and feeling of firing three bullets at the same time is really satisfying, especially when getting head-shots in the SWAT mode. Another favorite is dual wielding needlers in the second game. Everything about using two of them at the same time is satisfying. The sound effect when firing both guns at the same time is really magical, and seeing the little pink explosion that appear and instantly kills your enemy after hitting him with an huge storm of needles is awesome.



Other than the Halo series, I love the Ultima keyblade from Kingdom Hearts. It's the most powerful and powerful looking weapon in the kingdom hearts games, and unlocking it is often a bit of a challenge, making it very satisfying to own. Only sad thing is that you (from what I've experienced) unlock it close or after the ending of the game. I remember getting it in Dream Drop Distance after fighting the only secret boss in the game, making it pretty useless. I also liked the secret weapon that makes Roxas dual wield in 358/2 days. I can't remember if it was really that powerful, but it was really cool at the time that I found out about it.

My favorite weapon from a video game is the sword that izanagi uses in persona 4. Sure, I have seen a few others that were more powerful but I spent so much time using this one that I came to love it, plus it looks so awesome.

Hmm, I'd say Giant Axe in Bravely Default. It looks so sinister and purple, plus it deals a lot of damage when equipped!
