So yeah, let me explain what I mean. A lot of kids nowadays are just flat out crude. I can't really say anything like "Back in mah day...." because I'm 13 myself, but when you have kids 6-7 years YOUNGER than me swearing their hearts out...You just ask yourself "Why?" Yeah, I can understand TEENS swearing since...Y'know, they're TEENS. They're a lot older than children and since they've hit puberty, some of them can even take care of themselves alone. But you have little kids EVERYWHERE swearing like they came from the backstreets of god knows where. And the internet is one thing. It brings out the worse in everyone! And even though kids really shouldn't swear, they'll get exposed to it from the internet at one point sad to say. But in real life when you hear a 5 year old swear, you're taken aback for a moment. Oh, but a lot of teens aren't innocent themselves. Ask me this people. Why are teens as young as 12-14 FORNICATING?! Although laws can't really prevent underage sex, it's a bit of moral standards. That whole ordeal itself is bad enough, but what I didn't mention was that a lot of the time, it's UNPROTECTED. Meaning they can get all these different diseases, and even get pregnant for the girl teens side of this ordeal. It's bad enough that they do this because hormones get the best of them, but then they don't even bother to protect themselves.

Sorry about that people, I just needed to get that off my chest, so what do YOU guys think?

I was a kid once, about 20 years later I came to my senses and decided to go shrieking head first into adulthood. In that time I learned quite a bit, how to not make friends, how to not get a girlfriend, how to perform disappointingly in an academic setting, all sorts of things. I also learned quite a bit about what teenagers go through, being a teenager at the time.

The first point doesn't demand much attention. Teenagers are swearing. It's a part of f****** life. Swear words are just nouns, adjectives, and verbs that your teachers would rather you not say. It has absolutely nothing to do with moral standards. Anyone who can keep it in moderation, keeping their composure and allowing proper conversation flow can use as many as they want. You assuming it has something to do with moral standards and saying they should have to wait speaks to a bit of snobbishness on your part, but that is for another day. I care more about kids saying "it brings out the worse in everyone" more than I care about kids saying "Why do I have to take out the f****** trash?".

We jumped from swearing to having sex very quickly like a crazy southern couple, not to mention the fact that you said fornicating instead of having sex, implying that it's a problem that 12-14 year olds aren't married. Arguably I would rather have HPV than a wife at 14, at least HPV will let me go out with my buddies and won't pressure me for children. That said I hardly blame kids these days for going at it, if I had a willing partner, which I didn't due to extraordinary social inadequacy, I would have been right there with them. I remember being a kid, that is one of the most confusing times of your life but one thing is very clear whenever you see a member of the opposite sex walk by, and that thing is something I will leave either your parents or porn to explain to you. It should be mentioned though that those kids are in the shocking minority when it comes to having sex at that age, I highly doubt that kids in your school are just going around like rabbits at a singles mixer. The problem of them being unprotected I think says something about the American sex education system, I don't know where you are from but I'm assuming it's America because our sex ed classes are non-existent, wrong, or sound like they are being explained by a second grader who spells out the word S-E-X. Does sex have anything to do with morals? Not if the partner is consenting and alive, so I'll let that part pass by. Does some blame still rest on the kid's side? Probably, chances are they have heard of condoms and they aren't the most complicated things in the world, but the fact that tons of kids today still aren't getting proper education is the real problem here.

My take on this post is the ramblings of an outsider of his own culture looking in. Make a friend, talk about girls (or boys if that's your thing), say a swear word, it won't kill you. Once you get them out of the way you'll realize what they really are, a part of life.

ender44 : That's honestly not what I was going for.  I meant little 5-7 year olds are saying things that are WAY above their league when they shouldn't . That's what I was going for in the first point. Yes, swearing is a part of life. I do it a lot, and I will guess you use some swears from time to time. But 5 year old kids should not be going around saying all these things just because they heard it somewhere. On top of that, I have no problem with "Why do I have to take out the f****** trash?". I mean things like "You ******* ***** ******* ****" (basically a swear word every 0.2 seconds.) I wasn't trying to be snob with the whole "They need to wait thing either. In fact, that was not what I was going for at all. In a way, we ALL need to wait. Parents a lot of the time will scold you for using language and sometimes make you stick a bar of soap in your mouth. 

I can honestly understand you getting confused for the sudden change in subjects. Looking back on it, I should've made a better transition. What I was trying to go about here was how teens way below adult level having sex constantly. I'm sure you've heard of 15-16 year olds getting pregnant right? They should not be getting pregnant when they can't even leave home yet. I said fornicating because when I'm on a site with a no vulgar language policy (especially a christian site like this one.) I try to tone down my language, however I guess you are right on the fornicating thing, even though fornicating and having sex are the exact same thing, married or not. But yes, people in my school are pretty much having sex. They ARE slightly older than what I said (14-16) but I mean the exact same thing. And yes, I would rather have HPV than a wife at 14 myself, but I still wouldn't want either of them. And yes, I will admit, I am from america where we are not in a good state with something like this. But the main part I'm upset with with teens doing all this is that a lot of the time, they don't even like each other. If it was teens GENUINELY in love with each other, then I could understand a bit, it would still be iffy for me, but I still see it's TRUE love. Not "Lol let's have sex or something".

The younger "squeakers" I suppose you could say, usually use the words to make them sound cooler or more impressive. At least, that is how it was when I was around that age.

Anymore, I believe teenagers use swears to apply certain emphasis and get their point across better, however crude it may be.

There is also ones who use them to feel as if they are rebelling against their parents. Or perhaps trying to intimidate someone.

Others may use these words for fun

And then you have the general population who uses it to vent out their frustrations.

They suit some people, but I don't find it classy in the least bit.

Well,kids and teens will always been seen as crude lazy slackers by those that cam before them. That is always going to be the case. But the current ones are infested with crap from "Jersey Shore",there are no real morals anymore,it does not help that the parents do not really teach their kids,they just hand them a smartphone so the kids will be quiet. I am not saying all kids are like this,but my God,these kids are going be even bigger jerks and dumber than their parents. Hell,when I was a boy,I remember cartoons would have some sort of moral or message. Not now. It does not help when society rewards people for being crude,stupid,or lazy.

Oldschool777 : Exactly how I see it. People just have sex because they think it feels good, then don't want the responsibility of raising a child and decide to hand it a smartphone to be quiet. I myself don't even HAVE a phone yet. I have to use my moms. It makes it even more painful to witness when kids just play cod all day in a shaded room and refuse to get a life.

yoshirulez! : I myself do use them to vent out frustration and for fun, but I limit my swears depending on who i'm talking to. Let's say it's an elderly for instance, I do not use swears. But when it's my friend, I use them a lot. And yes, I have used them to get my point across. I don't know the source, but apparently, putting swears in a sentence emotionally affects the listener more, causing them to remember your words better. 

It makes you hate growing up in this generation. The new vocabulary is one thing that bothers me "swag,yolo" and all that but when they change up definitions for words like savage, it gets annoying. All because you cussed or hit someone doesnt make you a savage. Someone like Hitler is an actual savage, someone who did heinous stuff no wannabe gangster that hits someone or told their mom to f herself can ever be a savage

Kids need to learn to show restraint and respect. But kids forget that respect is a two way street. Respect is NEVER automatic,you must show respect to be shown respect. Kids today just play COD,abuse smartphones,and just act like morons. Then again a lot in this generation only know what reality TV and music tells them and they say to hell with actually trying to be a decent person.

In a sense, I agree with ender44's statement about younger children in this generation swearing. Honestly, it's a part of life, and there really isn't any way to avoid exposure to it. If younger children don't pick it up from an adult, It is pretty much guaranteed that they'll pick it up from a friend, tv, media, or the internet. With a wealth of technology available at almost every 3 year old child's fat fingertips (it's unsettling to think that children this young have smartphones), there is really no way to protect the children of today's generation from everything. Unless of course you're an Amish family and flock sheep or something (No offense to the Amish).

This generation will always be looked down upon by prior generations, whether you blame the influence of the media, violent video games, social websites or whatever, it can be argued that the fault can be attributed to the parents. If you think about it, there are a lot of parents out there that are either not in touch with any of today's technology, or they don't bother checking or putting restrictions on the types of places their kids visit on the web. How many young children have perished all because they visited some form of social media and conversed with a pretend boyfriend or girlfriend, only to be lured out and tortured by some killer or pedophile? The majority of these issues could all be avoided with a few precautions and restrictions put in place by the parents.

As for underage sex, I don't care. It's best left in the decision of the person doing it. If some 14 year old really loves someone else and they are sensible enough to know the possible risk of STDs, of potentially having a child at a young age and throwing out the rest of your social and possibly your educational life, then sure go for it. If you are aware of all this, and you think its worth it, then fine, I could care less. Honestly though, I think children today need to be educated about the risks of sex at a younger age. Generally it is taught in high school, and that is too late for a lot of people. I feel like these young adolescents associate the idea of having sex as a means of showing or solidifying their love for each other. Essentially, they embrace the concept, but are unaware or flat out ignore the risks.

Altogether, it isn't something I personally welcome with open arms, but it's out of my control. Do it at your own risk, but before you do, consider the future repercussions. That's my thought process on that. Overall, these factors are just a part of the reality we live in. Ultimately, we can preach about topics like this all day and discuss why they are wrong, but it won't change anything. I apologize if this sounds like a pathetic reason to excuse these sorts of things, but there really isn't anything you or I can do about it. All you can do is continue living your life making good decisions to avoid taking the same regretful path so many other young people have taken.

Its ok to swear when using it as an expression. Funny, coming from someone who doesn't. Most parents have failed raising their children and they complain, that their kids are not as mature as they should be. Hello? Can they not even see that they ARE the problem. If they would have been more stricter with their children then most of those children would be able to respect other adult and be mature. Also another thing. Music of today isn't help them because that is what most teens listen too.

And I wouldn't even be surprised that some go out of their way to go and disrespect parents once not being in control....its really sad when you think about it. When they get to a certain age the parents won't be able to control their children anymore. Thus creating teens who would just....well you see where I am going with this, so I don't need to explain that. I am happy with some parents out there who actually do still raise their children rightly.
