number 10-final fantasy 2-this is seriously the only game in this list that i reccomend not playing if you havent yet.anyway, first with the good things about the game-the story is ok for the second entry in the series and the keyword system is manageable.the encounter rate also seems better than ff1.now the many bad things that makes this game come in dead last-the leveling system is horrible and my main complaint in this game, its really complicated and if you dont know what you are doing its game over very early, and if you know what you are doing its game over for the challenge of the game.its literally that, theres no in-between.next the party members just die and another comes and replaces the character,i mean, thats ridiculous.all in all not a good game,in my opinion the black sheep of the series.

number 9-final fantasy 4-from here on i do reccomend you play all the games you havent yet, because they are all good.anyway ff4,what to say...well,first the good things. the encounter rate is really toned down to the normal rate that we find in the later entries, the enemies parties have at maximum 4 enemies(no more 10 enemies to defeat),the story is pretty good and this is the first time that you actually get attached to the characters.also sidequests are introduced more thoroughly in this game.now the bad things-you do not have control at ANY time of your party, the game just gives the party for each área and you have to go with that.in the original even the final área has a fixed party,in the remakes(gba,ds and others) you can choose your party, but only in the final área.other problem is that for me,at least, theres a huge spike in difficulty Cecil transforms,to the point your characters do almost no damage, and without possibly getting other party, well, its a rough ride.

number 8-final fantasy 1-this is the game that started it all,and gota say,it started very well indeed.good things about the game-you can choose your party and their classes at the beginning of the game, making for a good replayability score, since theres almost infinite combinations,as weel as challenges.the story, well, its ok,the basic crystals are getting destroyed,we need to save them.the leveling up system is fine and the bosses not really hard.its na amazinf first game to the series.now the bad things-the encounter rate is RIDICULOUS,and theres even some áreas that an enemy battle will appear EACH STEP YOU TAKE.also theres no indication whatsoever where to go,except some shady npc that gives a vague hint and so on,to the point that its better using a guide.the original has lots of bugs and glitches,so i recommend playing the psp or gba versions.

number 7- final fantasy 10-2-as a continuation of 10,this game does a very poor job,but lets get to that in a moment, right now im gonna talk about the good aspects of the game.the battle system is pretty good and inovative, you equip grids to give diferente classes to characters, and each action you take in battle gives AP,which levels the grids up until you get a new skill.you can also change classes mid-battle,so thats good too,for training 2 strategic classes together.also makes for tons of character combination.another good thing on the game is that you can choose where to go from the very beginning.theres lots of sidequests,so you may want to do them.or not,but its your choice, not the games choice, unlike in ff4 and ff10.now the bad things-the story is HORRIBLE,like, really bad,and the worst part is that if you want to get important parts of the story you need to do sidequests,if you just do the mainquest you probably will end up with a story full of holes.

number 6- final fantasy 5-this game is really good so lets jump right into it-you can choose characters classes, but an innovation is that you can equip skills from other classes to the class you are currently using(for example,a warrior that can also use White magic),however theres the danger for that, because the stats will be from the class you are using,so a warrior with a White mage ability may not be that good, hehe.another good thing is the story and the length of the game, this game is BIG,theres some sidequests, but the main story itself is big, which for me counts points.now bad things.this game is harder than your average final fantasy, and the combination of classes can lead to very bad choices, which made the game even harder.

number 5-final fantasy 7-this game is good, but not godly, like some people say.-good things.despite having diferente stats you can for the most part make any character do anything,be it a mage,a thief,etc.... by equipping matéria.the overworld is big and theres lots of sidequests.this game is not that hard, but can be hard if you decide to do the sidequests or complete the enemy skill matéria.bad things-the story is medíocre, its just focused on sephiroth and cloud.even after a party member is permanently removed from the party nothing changes.also knights of the round sidequest....im not gonna say anymore

number 4- final fantasy 9-this game brings back the medieval theme to final fantasy, after the modern theme in ff7 and ff8.amazing graphics for the ps1,amazing story, full of twists, but also dramatic, funny and sad moments and a very good ending.the battle system is ok.now for the bad part-the battle system is ok,but its incredibly slow,it takes forever for the characters gauge to charge even on the fastest battle speed,a complete opposite to the ATB of ff7 and ff8.also the equip things to get abilities...well,i dont like it,o its a thumbs down for me.

number 3-final fantasy x-unlike its sequel, this game a pretty good story(not as good as 9,though),the leveling system is innovative and it Works pretty well.i mean, each character has a specific grid to follow, but you can and should give deviates from the paths.that is,if you know what your doing.the battle system is good, different, but good.alsop this game gets thesecond best antagonista in the series(for those who have played, you know who i am talking about).now the bad things-the game is really linear, and most of the sidequests can only be done after getting to zanarkand, which means almost at the end of the game.also capturing enemies, the dread chocobo, butterfly and thunder minigames....i tremble just to hear these things.

number 2- final fantasy 8-many people dont agree with me,but 8 is really good,in my opinion.anyway, good things about it.pretty easy to level up and get overpowered if you know what you are doing, amazing side-minigame(triple triad for the win) and reasonably hard battles, even if you are overpowered.bad things-darw,draw,draw,draw,draw...repeat for 20 minutes...need i say more;i mean, even if you know how to refine theres sttil the beginning of the game,as weel as drawing from ultima and ômega weapon.

number 1-final fantasy 6-what to say, this game is perfect,my favorite game of all time.good things-even though each character gets its own specialty, you can teach all the magic to everybody, thus making the character also a red mage, along with their own class.some classes are bad,but theres so much you can do with customization that you can just ignore the original class if you think its useless(cyan,i am looking at you)also this game has the best antagonista in the series by far.bad things-its a really long game, and i mean long, even for final fantasy standards, and theres some annoying parts, but all in all,an amazing game,if you havent played it,please do so.
