It's the month of August, so I thought I'd make a thread about going back to school.

How soon do you head back to school? Do you know what day it starts on? Lastly, are you excited about it or not really?

I head back to school in a little over 2 weeks, on the 24th. It's been earlier than that before, but I usually start school around the 25th, like this time.

EDIT: Darn, it starts on the 21st. I was 3 days ahead of the actual start time

I'm excited for this school year since it'll be pretty different from other years. I'll be getting more involved with the school and I've come up with great ways for me to be more outgoing than before.

At the same time, I'm sad about summer vacation coming to an end so soon XD

Mine starts on the 25th.

My summer vacation was fast and crappy. It rained pretty much every day and we couldn't do anything at all. Now that it's been nice out for how long now, we can't put the backyard pool up for...reasons. 

I don't like school in general, but it's something we all have to go through

So I'm not excited at all, but I'll live.

Since we live in the same state, I got a lot of rain here too. It kept raining almost every day. When I was on vacation my mom would look up the weather where we live and it would be raining or storming......... again. When it was sunny I usually couldn't be outside because we had to be somewhere else or no one was home. (I'm not allowed to be outside if there are no adults here with me)

Lately it hasn't rained though, and it's mainly been hot, sunny, and humid.

It stinks to go to school 9 months a year if you don't even want to, but I find it worth it in the end. It's an incredible feeling to go on summer vacation after all that work, and I feel accomplished

Darn... School is probably going to be absolutely awful for me this year. Going to get bad grades, test, homework etc. So I'm not very enthusiastic about going to school this year.

Final Weapon : You shouldn't be so sure about getting bad grades, it isn't inevitable. I've gotten bad grades in a some of my classes and a couple of my bad grades were the result of me having really mean teachers. I felt like rebelling against them like the rest of the students in my class did.

Or I felt like not even trying because one of my teachers would get upset at me because when I tried, I still did horrible.

I go back to school on September 8th. I think it will be my latest start ever- school in Canada starts the day after Labour Day, which lands on the first Monday of the month. That Monday comes late this month.

Anyways, I'm pretty excited about going back. SURPRISED??? Really though, I feel like I've mastered the art of having a decent time at school, and I can't wait to put that "training" to use.

Boxia : That's amazingly lucky (unless you're getting impatient about school starting )

Hopefully our excitement for the school year will last, usually I get excited about school and then the excitement wears off after the first week.

I also start on the 24th, but it's mostly introduction work; meet the teachers write (and recycle) the same "about me" paragraph. Stuff so easy, I still consider it summer break. Things don't pick up steam until September, that's when I have to go into freaky mode to keep all my stuff under control. I'm actually getting better when it comes to freaky mode, I'm quite used to it.

I start on 17th August. This will be my last year of high school (we have 6 years of high school) which means it is my last year of school in general. I think I am going to go to college for pre-nursing afterwards. May do some revision so I am ready for the start of a long year (school takes forever to me). If I went to college this year I would have started around September 14th. I am excited to see my peers and cathc up on what they have been doing.

Clayton 2 : It's the same situation for me. The first few days of school in most classes are just the introductions of the students, teachers, and in some classes, the teachers' assistants. That's what makes the first week of school so exciting and easy

Yeah, things get crazy after the first couple weeks.

DylanMcKaig : Nice! I'm excited about seeing my peers as well, especially when my friends are in my classes or there are new students in my classes! It's always exciting meeting new students, that's a topic I could say a lot about so I'll make a separate thread for it XD

I Start in september (Canada FTW) But we dont really start doing any work until November.

The hell-hole I go to starts on the first Friday of September, which makes NO sense, except that they want us to be in school longer than everyone else. We break up a week later than everyone else too for some reason, and do the full week (every other secondary school I am aware of, broke up on the 17th or the 23rd - us, the 24th).

One of my 'friends' will be able to watch it get knocked down in October or November or whenever it is. DDDDDD Hopefully it is filmed and put on YouTube, it will make millions. Since nobody likes the school.

I am in school but I am being homeschooled!

No, not this time of the year. And it's surprising how most of you go to school in August. This year, I'm starting later than ever, on September 9th. Let's go...yay...

I went back a few days ago XD. Its been eh so far since I got the wrong classes DX

It really stinks getting all the wrong classes. One of the classes I signed up for this year I didn't get because they couldn't fit it into my schedule

My school well start in 3 days  , I am not happy about that but I can't do anything about it really.

I am happy I well see my friends again but i also well see the people that make's my life afwal...And also a lot of good and bad teachers...

Really i do think this summer went wayyyy to fast ,I am one of the best students in my class but i still hate almost everything about school .

Also another thing i am sad about ...That i didn't do much of the stuff i wanted to do this summer , Like i wanted to travel and have fun but that didnt happend...And yeah there so much more stuff i wanted to do before this summer end but like i said i can't really do anything about it but i am still very sad ): but hey i didn't see my my friends in a long time so i think that the only  good thing  about school starting again that i well get to see them .
