Today was a mess. I literally spent $22 on transportation alone because of random things just not working out. I took a bus and a train to get to work. During lunch I went with another worker to a nearby neighborhood to eat and go to Gamestop, had to go two stops on the train there and the same to get back. Turns out that for one of the games they forgot to give me the sealed copy and just gave me the display case instead. After work I had to take the train back to the Gamestop to get the game.

The problem is the Gamestop and my house are on two opposite sides of my workplace so I had to take the train back towards my workplace and a few extra stops to the stop where I get on in the morning. Instead if getting on the bus to go home, I went to the library because I had to return my internet box today. Turns out I forgot what the box came with like a charger and box, but I wasn't actually giving it in, my plan was to borrow it again before I left.

However, even though I was going to borrow it again they said I had to have everything with me so I took the bus home, I got the box and charger and then I took the bus back to the library. All I did was show them the box, they never even touched it and i was able to borrow it again, and then I got the bus yet again to go back home.

Has anything like this happened to you? Where you had to keep going back and forth for no reason and had troubles like this?

Edit: Woot 800 threads.

zanderlex : dang that sucks. I dont really ride the bus etc since any where I actually go is only 1-2 miles away and I bike there. But wow the game stop thing would have really made me mad since you had to pay another ticket fair.

blasife : I had to pay 2 extra fares for Gamestop and 2 extra for the library. Would ride a bike if I could afford one, or if I knew how.

zanderlex : I'm not going to ask how you don't know how to ride a bike, I guess I take that for granted. But your story is terrible man. I got tired and frustrated just reading it. That's a lot to deal with at once. Nothing specific comes to mind but we all have days kind of like that. The more responsibility you have the worse it is at times. Whenever I get into a tough situation like that it always helps if I try to keep things in perspective. Not always easy. But you can always be sure that someone, somewhere, has it a lot worse than you. But like I said, that's not always easy. Especially when you're in the midst of a stressful situation. The sun will come out tomorrow...

Ferdinand : I did try riding a bike like 10 years ago and it never worked out. What made the day even worse was that they wouldn't let me borrow it out again, which means that all those rides were still for nothing at all and that the next couple of months are going to be useless because of the people who I dealt with at the library.

zanderlex : All that for nothing? jeesh. Hopefully something comes up for you. It's always darkest right before the dawn they say..But if you need to hear any more clichés about hard luck hit me up.  I do have experience there. Peace man.
