What is the best current gen game out right now? My vote goes to child of light. It is simple, easy to pick up and play, great to look at and a total surprise hit.

I'd have to say the best current gen game is Bayonetta 2 because to me, it's the best action game I've ever played. The combat is absolutely incredible and it's got a great soundtrack as well. The 10 Gamespot gave it is totally justified. Anyone who says that the Wii U doesn't have "mature" games obviously haven't seen or played this game.

Hmm.. well I have a few
The new FIFA games - They are all so much fun to play, especially when you learn skill moves and make your opponents mad, that's priceless.
Yoshi's Woolly world - Now, this is a weird one, I just got it a few days ago and it's so much fun, one of the best yoshi games ever - and that's saying something, since all of the yoshi games are great (Even touch and go)
Mario Kart 8 - It's mario kart underwater and at times no gravity. Enough has been said.
Killzone shadow fall - So I don't like fps', but I tried this one because it's made by a dutch/british company (Yes, I am very biased with the games I choose) Idk I don't think this is one of the best games on current gen consoles, but I like it cause it's dutch. Thank you.
Mario Kart 7 - A bit worse than mario kart 8 but still good, and I had to put a handheld game on here.
PES - Pes used to be better than fifa, but it's not anymore, it's still good, it's just that FIFA has surpassed them.
I haven't played much PS4/WIIU/3DS, Etc. so I can't say much

Well out of all the games I've played on my 3ds and PS4 (which granted isn't a ton) my favorite so far would have to be Bloodborne. I realize I might be a bit biased in that since It's basically the main game I've been playing the past weeks but it's so addicting and just an all around great game.

It has beautiful graphics, unlike a lot of other games on the PS4 which were disappointing, likely because it an exclusive and was made specifically for it, and the soundtrack is pretty good as well.

The gameplay is extremely addicting and very challenging at the same time, even the smallest foes can pose a threat if you let your guard down and the boss fights are so satisfying to take on and defeat, there are so many different weapons as well which change up the gameplay a lot. To top things off the story is pretty intriguing as well albeit a bit vague if you don't choose to try and learn more about it, I like that it's not pushed in your face and you can more or less decide yourself if it's something you want to be interested in or you just want to focus on the gameplay side of things.

The game is also massive content wise and will take a long time to beat, not just because you'll die a lot but also because there really is a lot of things to do and areas to explore, all in all out of all the PS4 games I've played and possibly 3ds games as well, it's the one where I really don't see any sort of notable flaw, at most some of the armour or specific things can be a bit nonsensical, but it never ever makes the game any less addicting for me and it's really just heavy nitpicking.

Shovel Knight has my vote. Once the nostalgic appeal wears off all you're left with is a really fantastic platform game. The controls are tight and don't feel at all floaty. It has a storyline that makes some sense, and the game just oozes with charm. How can you not love this guy?

I also really like Rune Factory 4. It's like Harvest Moon (from which it spun off,) except when you get tired of farming and stuff you can go out and fight monsters with a relatively simplistic action-RPG system. Sometimes I wish it wasn't such a time drain, but it's also that feature that makes me like it so much.

CthulWho : Shovel Knight felt like something Capcom could have made for the Nes in the late 80's early 90's at first but after playing it, I started hating it more and more. The jumping and enemy movement is too much like Megaman in the worst possible way. The only thing I like about that game is after you beat a stage and you are by the camp fire, it reminds me of Golden Axe. To me, it was a total waist of 15 bucks. Never played the other game though.

I've only played three:
-Batman Arkham Knight
-Knack
-The Golf Club

All of them were really good, but Arkham Knight was easily the best. It has an amazing story to tell (and does the best job I've ever seen a game do at telling the story), incredibly fluid gameplay, and a ton of things to see and do. It also has great audio and possibly the best graphics to date. Finally the skill, power, and tech upgrade system really personalizes the experience and keeps things fresh throughout the probably 60+ hours of gameplay. If you get a PS4 and you like action games, you need to try this one.

Also Knack is a good game to try if you like Adventure games, don't mind the graphics style (I love it), and especially if you're a completionist.

I'm about to get a Vita and a few games for it, and maybe some new PS4 games soon too, so I'll probably be back if it's cool for me to post a list of favorites instead of a single best game (which currently my vote goes to Arkham Knight for that title as I said).

The Evil Within, all the way!! Perfect difficulty, awesome atmosphere, genuinely tense gameplay, and I actually found the game to be truly scary.
