Well since nobody else has bothered to make a Pokemon Omega Ruby game guide, I figured I might as well make one. I'll be explaining good strategies to use against major opponents in this game, such as gym leaders. I'll eventually be covering the Elite Four, Champion, Rival Battles and major Delta Episode battles. For those of you playing this game without the exp share, I hope that this guide will help you get through whatever part you may be stuck at. Without further ado, let's start this game guide!

Gym Leader 1: Roxanne: Specialty: Rock Type

The first gym leader that you'll face in this game is Roxanne, the rock type specialist. She has 2 pokemon at her disposal, and those are a level 12 Geodude and a level 14 Nosepass. Her Geodude is definitely the easiest to take out, especially if you chose ether mudkip or treecko ar your starter. Just either use Mudkip's water gun or treecko's absorb and you'll defeat it in no time. If you used Torchic however, your best bet is to either evolve it into combusken and use double kick, or if you caught a Seedot, teach it tm bullet seed and use that, or use Marill and have it use bubblebeam. Do one of those things, and you'll take out Geodude no problem.

Now comes the hard part, facing that Nosepass. Normally Nosepass isn't a threat at all, but since it's so early in the game, it can cause you some problems if you're not prepared. If you haven't evolved your starter, then this part could get tricky, even if you're using Mudkip or Treecko. If you evolved you Torchic into Combusken, then just keep using double kick, and if your speed gets lowered too much by Nosepass' Rock Tomb, then switch it out and depending on who else is in your party, switch it back in if you think you'll need to. If you didn't evolve it, then you're in big trouble, since rock tomb will destroy Torchic. If you started with Treecko, just keep using absorb and heal when needed. If you started with Mudkip, this battle shouldn't be hard at all, especially if you evolved it into Marshtomp, who can use Mud Shot, which is the ground type version of Rock Tomb. By following these steps, you shouldn't have too much trouble with Roxanne, she is a rock type user after all.

Gym Leader 2: Brawly: Specialty: Fighting Type

The second gym leader, Brawly: the Fighting Type specialist, also has 2 pokemon at his disposal, a level 14 Machop and a level 16 Makuhita. Both pokemon know the move Bulk up, which raises that pokemon's attack and defense. Your best bet for beating this gym is either using a flying type pokemon like Taillow or the psychic pokemon Ralts. Another pokemon that would be useful here is Azumarill (if you've evolved it by now that is.) If you don't have any of these pokemon, then using your starter would be a smart move. Machop itself isn't a very difficult pokemon to beat, you can defeat him simply by using your pokemon's best attack against him a couple of times depending on your level and he'll be defeated, even with bulk up.

Makuhita isn't very difficult either. Like Machop, Makuhita can use Bulk Up to raise it's attack and defense stats. If either your Ralts or Taillow aren't at a high level, then I'd suggest having your starter taking care of this one. Makuhita's only attacks are arm thrust, which is the fighting type version of Fury Swipes, and Knock Off, which is another weak attack that knocks off your hold item. Taking down this opponent with your strongest moves shouldn't prove to be too difficult.

Gym Leader 3: Wattson: Specialty: Electric Type

The 3rd gym leader Wattson, the electric specialist, has 3 pokemon at his disopsal. He has a level 19 Magnemite, a level 19 Voltorb, and a level 21 Magneton. If you chose Mudkip as your starter, then this battle will be a cakewalk since it's evolved form Marshtomp is part ground, making it immune to electric attacks, which will allow you to wreck his team. If you chose Torchic (now Combusken) or Treecko (Now Grovyle), you'll need to use a little bit of strategy. With Magnemite being part steel, using Combusken (assuming you started with Torchic), would be your best bet against this pokemon, because fire and fighting type attacks are of course supper effective against steel types, making KOing Magnemite a breeze. This pokemon, along with his other pokemon can use volt switch, which causes it to switch out while dealing damage to you. Making sure you KO his pokemon quickly is important here. His next pokemon is Voltorb, which has extremely high speed, but it's other stats are lackluster, KOing this pokemon should be no problem for you. Finally, he has a Magneton, making Wattson the first gym leader in the game with an evolved pokemon on his team. This pokemon can deal some serious damage with it's Volt Switch attack, since it's base special attack stat is 120. Using ground, fire, or fighting type attacks is needed to bring down this pokemon. If you chose Treecko (now Grovyle) as your starter, you'd better have a fighting type in your party, or you're going to be in for one rough battle. If you chose one of the other starters, this leader should be rather easy to beat.

Gym Leader 4: Flannery: Specialty: Fire Type

The 4th gym leader Flannery, the fire specialist, also has 3 pokemon at her disposal. She has a level 26 Slugma, a level 26 Numel, and a level 28 Torkoal. Of course, having Marshtomp on your team would make this battle much easier than having one of the other starters. If you chose one of the other starters, then you should hopefully have a water type on your team right now such as Azumarill. If you do, then this battle shouldn't be too difficult. Anyways, Slugma and Numel are both extremely easy to KO, especially if you've got a water, ground, or in Slugma's case, rock type on your team, then you'll KO those 2 no problem. Torkoal is the only threat on her team. Torkoal can use Body Slam, which can paralyze your pokemon as well as damage it. It can also use Sunny Day (which her other pokemon can also use), Overheat, and Curse. Using one of the type I mentioned earlier will bring it down, though with Torkoal's high defense, it could take a couple of turns if you're using physical moves. Using this strategy will earn you a 4th gym badge, and now you're halfway to getting all the gym badges.

Gym Leader 5: Norman: Specialty: Normal Type

The 5th gym leader Norman, the normal specialist, also has 3 pokemon. He has Two Slakings, levels 28 and 30, and a level 28 Vigoroth. If you have Marshtomp or Lairon on your team and you taught them protect, then defeating the 2 Slakings will be super easy, since Slaking's ability Truant causes it to only be able to attack every other turn, meaning on an attacking turn, you can use protect, and on a slacking turn, you attack. This makes the battle extremely easy. If you don't have either one of those pokemon however, this will be by far the most difficult battle you've faced. Slaking is one of the most powerful pokemon out there, so having a fighting type in your pokemon is pretty much required here if you don't want your team to get wrecked. The first Slaking can use Yawn, Feint Attack, Encore, and Retaliate. The second Slaking can use Chip Away, Swagger, Retaliate, and Feint Attack. Then there's Vigoroth, who's not a major threat, though it can't be put to sleep. It can use Fury Swipes, Feint Attack, Retailate, and Encore. If you can get past the 2 Slakings, then congratulations!

Gym Leader 6: Winona: Specialty: Flying Type

Winona, the 6th gym leader, is a flying specialist, and she has 4 pokemon at her disposal. Level 33 Taillow, Pelipper, and Skarmory, as well has a level 35 Altaria. The best types to have for this battle are an electric type or a pokemon with an ice type move. Taillow, Pelipper, and Skarmory can each easily be defeated using an electric type pokemon or move, since each are weak to electric moves, especially Pelipper. As for Altaria, You'd think of using an ice type move on it since it's a dragon/flying type, however there aren't any available at this point. Your best bet here would be using a Lairon if you caught one, or possibly using Swampert if you started with Mudkip. If you don't have either one, I'd recommend using a pokemon that doesn't have a weakness to dragon or ground type attacks. It's moveset is Dragon Breath, Earthquake, Cotton Guard, which drastically increases defense, and the healing move Roost.

Gym Leader 7: Liza and Tate: Specialty: Psychic Type

Liza and Tate, the psychic specialists, only have 2 pokemon at their disposal. Level 45 Lunatone and Solrock. Since this battle is so late in the game, your team of 6 should almost be, if not already complete. Which means this battle shouldn't cause you too much of an issue. If it is, then you should focus on getting rid of Solrock first, because it's the offense of this team. It knows Sunny Day, Solarbeam, Rock Slide, and Psychic. That Sunny Day Solar Beam combo can be very deadly, so getting rid of it quickly is key to winning this battle. After doing that, all you're left with is taking out Lunatone, which knows Light screen, Hypnosis, Psychic, and Calm Mind. Using a super effective physical attack on it will bring this battle to an end. Now there's only 1 more badge left to obtain.

Gym Leader 8: Wallace: Specialty: Water Type

Wallace, the water specialist, has a team of 5 pokemon. Level 44 Luvdisc, Whiscash, Sealeo, Seaking, and Milotic. If you chose treecko (now Sceptile) as your starter, your patience has finally been rewarded, as you can now destroy the 8th gym using grass type moves! If you chose Torchic (now Blaziken), you shouldn't use it here of course, and instead use a grass or electric type pokemon instead. Luvdisc is extremely easy to KO, all you need to do is send out one your fastest pokemon and attack with a powerful move, and it should be KOed, sicne it's stats are so terrible. Whiscash can easily be KOed with a grass type move, since it's a water/ground type pokemon, with Sealeo, either use a fighting, or electric type pokemon, for Seaking, making sure that you use a pokemon that's level 45 or higher is very important since it knows Horn Drill, which can cause a 1 hit KO to a pokemon it's level or lower. Finally Milotic is best taken care of with an electric type pokemon and not a grass type, since it can use Ice beam.

I'll eventually add more battle streatgies such as elite four, team magma, rival, and delta episode battles to this guide.

Yes!!,at least someone bought Omega Ruby I thought I'd be the only one to buy Omega Ruby.

This a good guide but, I beat the game in like four days and nearly all my of my team is level 100

The gym leaders you gave a good explanation about their teams and what you need to watch out for and best Pokémon to use also strategies.

By the way did you like the remixed Gym leader theme?

Anyway Kanta out
