Personally, my favorite is the original. I know that I'm probably in the minority, because Suikoden II was the gem of the series. But I got a more personal feel from the original. And Reminiscence is one of my favorite pieces. I cry every time I hear that song. As a matter of fact, this whole series is done with a lot of love, with the possible exception of Suikoden IV. That game was terrible, at least I believe so.

I liked all of the games (including Tactics) except for 5. As for my favorite...? 1 and 2 were definitely great, but I think 4 was the most fun I've had in the series. I loved the freedom of go where you want, explore where you want, and be able to switch your party members whenever you wanted to (Freaking 5). The Punishment Rune is probably my most favorite of the Runes.
