I don't know what happened with my laptop but there's something really wrong with it.

All day I have had left click problems. I could move the cursor but it was physically incapable of clicking things for 5 to 10 minutes and happened like 5 times already.

For periods of time, whenever I just move the cursor, pages I am on scroll up and down.

While I am making a post, at least once per post, I will be typing and then randomly the last letter gets highlighted and as I type the last letter keeps changing so nothing actually gets added.

Whenever I click on something in the toolbar at the bottom, nothing happens and the box that says close window appears and to open toolbox things I need to use touch creen.

Whenever I click on a tab, the cursor latches onto it and drags it around.

Whenever I post, or go to a new site for the first time, I need to click something 3 times before it works. Like in the last post I made, i clicked submit post, the button got pressed and stuck in the pressed position for like 3 seconds then popped up and nothing happened.


Any ideas or help?

zanderlex : Sounds like some sort of hardware issue. Have you looked at your task manager to see what your ram, processor loads are when these lag/delays are happening?

How old of a computer is it?

Jordanv78 : I haven't tried that yet, I did restart the computer and that helped the highlighting part a bit for like 2 posts. I don't think ita too old, probably just a little bit over a year.

I checked to see if there was anything that I had downloaded that could have caused any of this but the only things I had were all documents from Gmail.

zanderlex : The age of the computer isn't as much of an issue, more so the amount and type of use it gets. Heat can also be a huge issue with laptops. My initial reaction is that it's a hardware load issue, but you could always try re-installing windows fresh (after making sure things are backed up) That way you are ensured that all issues/malware/etc are removed and you can start again fresh.

Your left click button is stuck.

Nothings wrong with your computer, it's just your touchpad.

If the problem persists, disable the touchpad from the BIOS and attach a USB mouse.

My computer is nearly 10 years old and it dosnt have that many problems its has speed issues sometimes but thats about it honestly I think its just serious lag or you got really mad at a game and smacked your computer and its like you will pay for that,and this is why your computers like this...derp,I'm sorry that made zero senseXD its probobly lag or lack of space it can really limit the computer.

yoshirulez! : Exactly, its a touchpad, not a mouse, but when I use both fingers for right click, right click hasn't failed yet. It's the same thing, just with an extra finger and it doesn't work.

It actually got much worse since I turned on my laptop again and it's not just the cursor this time. Tabs are even more messed up now, whenever I click on a link it automatically opens it in a new tab and whenever I click on the Chrome icon at the bottom, it opens up a new tab instead of going to the ones I already have open.


On top of that, caps have been switched, like I had to type up this post with caps lock on or else it would have been all caps.
