Well, not me only. Both of my brothers as well. We're going to share 1 cat, but the youngest is going to name it. 

So first things first, YAAAYYYYY! All 3 of us have wanted a cat for so long, but we have allergies to cat and dog. Luckily, the Siberian cat doesn't produce that allergen as much as other breeds. We tested for it's reaction by wearing a shirt with the cat fur on it. Not one of us sneezed or anything allergy related.

The youngest brother is still deciding on a name for it. I'll update this thread later with the final name.

This is great news, I wish I could get a cat for myself, but I can't since my mother is allergic to them. I think it's about time for my family to get a new pet since our last one passed away last year. I'm not sure what we would get though. Regardless, I really would like to have a fish bowl/tank in my room again.

I also like cats, so when I have the opportunity to get my own place, I'm definitely going to get one or two. Nonetheless, congrats on getting a pet cat! I look forward to seeing what your brother decided to name it.

ZeroTails : We're all going to add a specific job to our chores involving the cat. We have a big backyard, so we're planning on training it and getting to play with it on warm days.

It's been so rainy here recently, so it may not be very soon. There's still hope though. Thanks for your reply!

How old is the cat going to be? If it is a kitten, take this advice from experience if you can't stand smells: 
Start with a kitty litter designed to attract kittens. Once the cat starts using it regularly without any issues, start to mix the attractant to regular litter. However, get an odor neutralizing litter, rather some generic stuff. It will help out so much. 

Also, to keep it entertained, get a " teaser " , but try to get one that makes noise. My cat loves things that make noise that he can play with.
