Hey everyone, Eagle here for another wonderful question to ask you guys. A big argument for gamers when it comes to story driven games is this, "When it gets down to it, which carries more weight, the journey or the destination?" The ending of a game can be a gigantic, epic, heartwarming, tear-jerking, surprising, hilarious, cliff-hanging mess of emotions that wraps your beautiful journey up in a nice little bow, or it can be a complete and utter catastrophe that was just thrown in to 'end the game.' Though both examples are EVERYWHERE in gaming, I want to know you're favorites/ least favorites. The rules are simple:
1.) Leave a comment down below explaining your favorite or least favorite video game ending.
2.) If you'd be so kind, Before you say what the ending was, put  spoiler warning for the game you're referencing.
3.) You can do a good ending, a bad ending, or both if you'd like, just express yourself!
EXAMPLE:
Good Ending: [SPOILER FOR MARIO]
He gets the princess
Bad ending: [Spoiler for Sonic '06]
Bestiality or something. (never played it just don't know what to say)
It doesn't have to be exact just as long as you get the main idea.
Anyway guys, I hope you enjoy this and before I go I'd like to give you all an opportunity to check out my gaming channel where me and a friend of mine have just recently started playing the Metroid Prime games.
Here's a link for the channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UC8ZPG0WlamFHpzvd_liaxfw
That's all I have to say for now, so I hope you guys have fun telling me your favorite end game moments and as always, I will see you dudes later.

Not sure why the link won't work, just copy/paste it.

As someone that often looks for black and white examples, this is a subject I have considered.

Bad ending: Karnov for NES (highlight below to see )

This one is special for me, because it was the first terrible, most uninspired ending I ever got. Me and a pal spent two days trying to beat this game as kids, and when we finally did, "CONGRATULATIONS! THE END" on a black screen. Then back to title. Wow. So.. lame.

But a more modern one -- Bad ending: Mass Effect 3 (also highlight below)

Deck was stacked against ME3 from the get go. Ending a lucrative trilogy with interesting characters, and world settings. The game itself was fueled by way too much hype. The expectations were somewhat ridiculous. But Bioware/EA created a crime scene of an ending for  most of the die-hard fans, of which I was one. It blew up on the internet, got dragged into BBB over their sales pitch, and execs left the company in the wake of this.   Is it the worst ending ever? Taking the lore of the game seriously, I think so. I also swore me off buying any of their DLC. The fact they changed the ending, was a step towards fixing it, but too little too late for me.
