I've been here for a few years now. I remember it being more active when I was first here, but we could just be going through a slow month or two. Dying? I hope not. Slow at times? Definitely.

No. I joined about 3 weeks ago, And I looked at the forums to see what was going on, And I get school. (Since... you know), And I'm going tosay this: People are in School. In summer, I Guarantee you, More people will post.

Vizzed is so not dead. I've been on Vizzed for three summers now, and, boy, you should see what it's like. And then you have the summer Tour de Vizzed, oh my gosh. I don't know where you're getting this from, but Vizzed isn't dead. It's just becoming a little bit slow. Slow, and low. It's a low point, but for so far this year. Have you ever read History of Vizzed and Davideo7? I wouldn't think so. From the middle of 2005 to 2008, Vizzed was incredibly inactive. You can say that it was dead then. But now? No. Not at all. Vizzed is the 31,346th most popular site globally. Does that seem dead to you, hmm?

Honestly, considering that the site has an entire library of 40,000+ retro games to be played, it's impressive that there are so many posts here to begin with, especially from new users. Of course, in some ways, the number of posts per day has declined, at least partially because of school stuff going on right at this time, but I would never call a forum with this much activity dead. I've seen dead forums, and this isn't even close. Now, users come and go, modships are given and taken away as time passes, but there's always new users who are willing to make over 9000 posts per day to pick up the slack.

I think it's absolutely awesome that so many people have come to this thread and expressed that the fact of the matter which is vizzed isn't dying. I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt like it's important to tell you that.

It is not dying really, but I have to admit that all in all the discussions could be better. I mean, lets take the animation part of vizzed for example. It is supposed to be about animation in general, but there is nothing really to talk about to anyone who is not into anime. Or maybe even not for people into anime if they are not into stuff like "who is your favourite... character" or some such.

And don't tell me I should just start a conversation and see how it goes. I have tried, it has not worked. Stuff like the spam marathons that reward spammy users don't make people to write more in depth articles or post. They just contribute to this "who is your favourite hentai voice actor" kind of posts that plaque the whole community as a whole. I have the attention span of a tortoise, so I don't care much but I know we have lost a lot of potential members on this board for this.

But we all know it and we don't care. But I just wanted to say this out loud once again.

Don't worry, vizzed is not dying. A decline in activity is just a usual phase for an online community but it doesn't really guarantee that a place is dying. Who knows, maybe months after we'd be back to having a very lively community.

Juliet : Right, Vizzed is the number one greatest website of all times. There is just so much to do on here that activity is spread out through the entire site not just the board. With the vast selection of retro games, the forums, the competitions and the minecraft server, Vizzed will never die. NEVER (HUFF PUFF) :3

Vizzed is going as strong as it ever has. Stronger even. With all the new features to the plug-in, and the traffic on the forum. Dying? not hardly. 

Vizzed is in a natural low point right now, facilitated in part by the recent conclusion of the TDV, and otherwise caused by the natural cycle of members quitting as the next wave of newbies join. It will become strong again by the end of the summer, especially with the upcoming TDV later in the year.

I don't think Vizzed is dying. People join Vizzed (mostly) for the games, and then see the rest of Vizzed once they make an account. I do think the Boards is less popular than the RGR, but that was bound to happen. I also don't think Vizzed will die for a long time.  I mean, why would it? It's fun, and an excellent time waster. As long as David keeps supporting it (and sometime afterwards), both the Boards and the RGR will stay alive. However, I think that the RGR will outlive the Boards, probably by a long time. Just my two cents.
