There is an add of the cheat menu to the emulator Mednafan, a fan favorite. For anyone confused on the cheats, I will explain here.
-The cheat menu is called Codebreaker, a type of hacking device that was used back when games like these were sold in stores.
-The codes themselves are useful, for Pokémon trainers, max cash, completed pokedex, mystery gift items. For Fire Emblem users, maxing stats, giving usage of new weapons like giving Cavaliers the ability to use bows. Mario users, max lives, skip to a level, high jump, etc.
-In order to use them, you must do the following steps.
1.) Let's say you are playing Fire Emblem: Sacred stones and you want Erika to use anima. In the character select screen before a new battle, make sure she is the topmost right character in the items screen, or just topmost right in "Select units" Now, the code is as follows:
3202BE79 00??
Now, press F12+Ctrl to open cheat menu, press 2 (cheat search), then press 1(add cheat). This will pop up.
Name [ ]: [insert any name here, the name doesn't matter, you should always delete cheats like these right after use]
Address [$00000000] : insert the code 3202BE79 00??, but instead you enter it as $0202BE79. Press enter.
Byte length 1-9 [1] : enter 1, then press enter. Since the first letter is 3, it is one byte. For codes starting with 8, 2 bytes.
Value [000] : Enter the experience in level you want the anima to be, I just use 78 as it's C level with a bit extra exp. Press enter.
Enable? Yes/No [Yes]: This is if you want the code to activate or not. just press yes, then enter.
Add code [name of code] with address of $0202BE79 1 byte with a value of 78? Yes/no [Yes]: press enter.
And there! Check Erika. It will show the magic weapon status with Anima at level C. It wont show Sword level, but don't worry, you can still use it. Now, onto codes with 2 lines.
Let's say you want your first Pokemon in Pokemon Emerald to have maxed out stats. Well, the code is:
690408CE 0ABD
00009715 A07C
Wait, TWO LINES?! Never fear! I am here!
Go to the cheats, and hit add code.
Name [ ]: I would enter [max stats], but do what you want.
Address [$00000000]: Enter the code $090408CE
Bytes [1]: Not sure, as the first number is a 6, but it should probably be either 1 or 2.
Big Endian?(if 2 bytes long) Yes/no  [no]: press no
Value: The value says ABD. this is a hexadecimal, but we must use decimal. The value is 2749 in decimal. hit that, and hit enter.
Enable? Yes/no [Yes]: enter yes
Add code Max stats with address $090408CE with value of 2749? Yes/no [Yes]: hit enter.
Now, hit add code again.
Name [ ]: Max stats pt.  2
Address [$00000000]: $00009715
Bytes [1]: 1
Value: A07C in decimal is 41084. enter 41084, then press enter.
Enable? Yes/No [Yes]: hit yes.
Add code Max stats pt 2 with address $00009715 with value of 41084? Yes/No [Yes] :hit yes.
And then hit F12+Ctrl again and check. Your Pokemon in the big slot to the left should have maxed out stats.
