Don't play on the offensive. If they are spammers, it likely means they are not very adaptable. Take away the spamming advantage, and they are pansies. Make use of blocking. If they are spamming close range attacks, blocking them makes them unable to move for a few quick frames, meaning you can hit them with a quick attack (throws are often the bane of close range move spammers). If they spam range moves, make use of the fact that they are locked in the stance for a little bit after they launch the attack.

Yes, everything rcarter2 just said is true. just do what he just said and you'll be just fine. Spammers can be very annoying, but using their spamminess to your advantage is so rewarding. Which is also satisfying in Smash Bros as well.
