The title says it all, have you been suspended from school, in school suspension counts as well. Tell what you did to get suspended.
I'll tell my stories. I was suspended three times, twice out of school, once in school.

Suspension One: 3rd grade
In third grade I had like one friend that was in my class. So wee would do the normal stuff in elementary school, like recess (I love that word.)
But one day some idiot came up to my friend and tackled him into the side of a metal fence for no reason. I threw him off of my friend, punched him, and broke his jaw. We both actually became good friends come 5th grade. When I got home I had to write 300 sentences on why I will never do that again.

Suspension two: 3rd grade
So this one was kind of stupid. I had put hand sanitizer on but there was too much. So I was trying to shake it off and it went on to the floor and into someones eyes. I was just going to get an E-mail home, but the principal walked by and smelled the hand sanitizer. I was suspended for three days. When I got home I had to write 1000 sentences instead of 300.

Suspension three: 5th grade
This one I don't understand why I got ISS for it. I finished my SOL and I was waiting forever for the other people to finish. I just started swiping my hand over the keyboard and accidentally opened up a new tab. A teacher walked by and told me to go to the office. It was considered cheating and I almost got held back for that. Jokes on them I got a six hundred on that test. I wasn't cheating.

There was a time in my life where I got suspended. It was one of the worst moments in my life, and if it hadn't been for the support of my teacher at the time, I likely would've been expelled. Let's just say when I was in elementary school, I had some serious issues. I used to get in trouble a lot for doing some of the stupidest things, such as making a scene when something didn't go my way. Finally in the 4th grade, it got me suspended and I was really scared that I would never be able to go back to school again, because I really enjoyed being in school. I was never one of those people who hated school and wanted it to be over. Fortunately for me, I was eventually able to return to school with the help of my mom and my teacher at the time. I'll never forget that moment and from that time on, I was more well behaved than ever, and I was perfectly fine in school after that moment. I never failed a grade and I graduated from high school about 4 years ago.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Yeah, I was also terrified the first time I got suspended. I never got held back or anything like that. But I'm the smart kid in class so I was terrified that I was gong to get held back. But I was lucky enough that they looked throughthe internet history on the PC I was using and found nothing related to cheating. I only received ISS for being on a "foreign" website.

Dude, it sounds like your school's adults have sticks up their butts.
The first time qualifies as self-defense.
The second and third times? Those are just plain stupid. No reason to give a kid detention, never mind SUSPEND him!

MysteriousPanzer : Yep, our schools have the second highest suspension rate in the state. In fact, earlier this year two kids got in a fight on the bus and two cops had to arrest them! Like, why!

fireking1058 :
If it's too personal, you don't have to tell, but what state do you live in? Kind of interested as to what school is in #1...
I feel bad for you, the people that have to go to that school, and the people that have to go to the school ranked #1 in suspensions for the state.

I didn't get suspended, as a matter of fact, I only got 1 detention in my entire academic career in school. I want to say that I got close to being suspended once, but I can't remember what it could be. It might be from something small like being involved in a group of friends who got in trouble for stupid crap.

This happened in 6th grade, I was on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History and everyone had money to buy things from the gift shop and I didn't. Little 6th grade Makalya was jealous and wanted to get a souvenir, so she stole these little rocks that they were selling. Welp, the rocks fell out of my pocket in front of my chaperon. She caught me, make me return them, and then when I got back, I got an in school suspension the next day. Which wasn't bad at all for a school that "takes stealing very seriously." I've been laughing about that story ever since because it was so pity compared to some of the other things I've done outside of school and never got caught for. I do a lot of stupid things, even now, but I usually never ever do anything stupid in school because school sucks enough as it is.

I've been suspended from school a few times. I'll just talk about one of them though.

I used to have a huge problem with anybody calling me by my first name. I was named after 3 grandfathers, all different variations of my first name, only one of them exactly the same. At this time, I had just lost 2 of them within a few months of each other, so it was really tough for me at that time.

Well, this one guy was the guy that was always bullying me, calling me by first name when asked not to, among other things. Worst part about it was his parents were buddy buddy with the teacher, so he was the teacher's pet, and he was in good. Anytime I reported him, and would ask the teacher to do something about it, she wouldn't; she'd just figuratively give him a slap on the wrist, and go on about the class.

Well, one day, he was doing it way too much, and a whole lot more than normal. I had had enough. When I saw that the ball was about to ring, I I formulated a plan. With about a minute before the bell ran, while everybody was packing up their binders, I got up to sharpen my pencil. I went back to my seat, finished up my binder right as the bell rang, and I got up and followed everybody outside of class. I found the bully, and followed him outside. Most of our classes were in the 3rd hallway. ( There were 3 hallways, with the last two basically being their own buildings. )
I found him in between the 3rd building and the 2nd building. I walked up on him from behind, and I stabbed him with my pencil in the shoulder. He went down to a knee, and I just kept walking, wiping the blood from my pencil on my black shirt, thinking that nobody would notice.

Well, guess what happens as a result of all of this? I get suspended with a week of out of school suspension. The bully get's lead poisoning, and has to be taken to the hospital by his parents, threatening to press charges.

I got grounded of course, but only after I told my parents my side of the story. I told them everything. They got the bully's parents' phone number from the school, as his parents wanted to talk to mine, and my parents threatened a crap load of criminal charges on them, and the school. Needless to say, the bully's parents stopped their threats, and they moved the kid to another school, saying that they were they scared I was going to hurt their angel son again.
Typical rich kid.

Yeah.... I used to have a really bad temper when it came to really sensitive things like my first name back when I was school. Now, I really don't care about it all that much, since at federal buildings they have to use it, and it's on all my bills and what not.

I have been suspended once in middle school. I skipped school, but once the police found me while I was actually on my way to finally go back to school after like 4 hours and they brought me to the school themselves and I got suspenesed for a week or so and that was the only time I have been suspended.

Yes, a few times. In grade 7 there was this VERY annoying guy that was always bullying me. I got pissed once and hit him with a raquette (no serious injuries though).

The second time was in grade 10 when I was writing to this girl in New York (we were planning an exchange between both our classes). I had been a little too direct about our teacher, whom I hated with all my energy. It got me suspended because I had previously written (jokingly that time) "Down with the intern"!

I've never been suspended thankfully. It really isn't that difficult to avoid it, as long as you don't get involved in drama or make a fuss out of small stuff.  In middle school, I knew students that got suspensions, ISS, OSS and detentions ever other day...not something you want to have on your record. The same goes for high school as well.

I'll admit though, one of my teachers threatened to give me an infraction or referral for reading a book during the moment of silence in 8th grade.....you heard me correctly....for reading.....a book....that's all I have to say about this....

Overall I've had a clean academic record and I intend to keep it that way for the rest of high school and beyond.

I just got suspended recently. Pretty much what happened was, we were four minutes until dismissal, and as per usual, my math teacher begins a new subject. I said to myself that it sucks to learn a new topic less than five minutes till dismissal. My teacher got the principal and he suspended me for two days.

Kind of set fire on a girls hair in science class.
Thought it said Hydrogen peroxide.

Never been suspended before this year.

Which is strange because in Elementary I was a tad worst.

1st suspension: I'm in health class with a teacher who hates me and he puts a guy that I have bad history with. I have my backpack by my chair and he keeps telling me to move it even though it's not in the way. He lifts up a chair leg and puts in one of the loops my backpack had. He then proceeds to kick it and hit with the chair leg. I raise my hand, wait for the teacher to let me ask him a question, he says my name and I ask to move, which I do so, when getting up I 'hit' him in the arm with my book. (The kind you give to your friends, but not in a friendly way or as hard) Class goes crazy. Teacher sends me into the hall. Makes me wait at least 40 minutes, with nothing to do but stand (no chairs) he comes out and says stuff about how I'm in the wrong (like interrupting the class by asking to move without raising my hand even though I did.... seems legit.) and like anyone I justified my standing. Also like anyone I get sent to the office for being 'unreasonable'. I get suspended but the kicker that I see... the principle asked the other guy if he wanted to press charges 3 times.

Most recent one was about 3 months ago. I'm walking up the stairs and some guy who is mentally unstable (or is really excelling in Nicholas Cage class) wants me to go faster, even though I'm walking at a reasonable pace. He then goes beside me and passes me. Waits for me at the part where the stair case turns the other way. While I'm walking up he 'leans' on me which shoves me against the wall and keeps shoving all the way up. He then goes to the top of the stairs and tries to push me down the stairs. I push back in order not to injured or killed. Teacher comes. Calms things down. Me thinking 'since he tried to push me down the stairs and I only pushed back so I wouldn't fall, I'm not in trouble'. They call us in and look at the tape of the scene which matched up with exactly with what I said to them. We both get suspended for the rest of the week but, with me having an extra day for some reason.

Saddest part is that I'm not making this up.

Sadly, I'm usually seen as the kid who always gets in trouble but has friends anyway kind of kid in school. I hope to change this in High School next year though. Some of the reasons I get suspended is either because of my Aspergers, or just me being an idiot. Ha.

I have 4 times. Once in Kindergarden for getting into a fight, and then got in school suspension in both 7th and 8th grade for reasons i don't want to mention, and then once in 9th grade for not having up-to-date immunizations.
