So, today was my last day of school before spring break/Easter vacation (which is going to be 12 days long !), and it was so cool!

First, we barely studied since so few people came xD! We had open discussions about whichever topics we chose and used the school's laptops. It was all basically free time, ha, ha!

Also, we wore blue in support of World Autism Awareness Day ! It is tomorrow, but we decided to wear blue today since there's no school tomorrow xD! Some of us wore blue shoes and socks, some wore blue headbands and accessories, some wore blue sweatpants and t-shirts, some wore blue jeans and jackets, the few girls who wore hijabs wore blue ones today, and I discovered that, coincidentally, my underwear was blue, too !!!

Ha, ha, it was awesome!

We also took a group picture! Too bad for the ones who decided to stay in their school uniforms !

There were informative posters about Autism Awareness day pinned up everywhere, and there was even a scavenger hunt in second break!

We had to look for pieces of puzzles (all of which were blue... I'm guessing we'll see what they make when we come back!), and whoever found the most by the end of recess would be allowed to come to school for two days wearing whatever he or she wants instead of the uniform!

My friends and I were in a group, so we had to decide who would win the prize (if we did end up winning) in the end... How did we settle it out?

Rock-paper-scissors, of course !

There were four of us. Me, my twin sister, my best friend Yasmina (my name is Yasmine... our names are so similar ), and my other close friend Nour.

Mona (my sister) beat Nour, and I beat Yasmina, so it all came down to the twins, and...

She won xD!

I jumped with joy every time I found a puzzle piece, but we all agreed that it was just for fun and winning or losing didn't matter . Two no-uniform days are pretty cool, but I could tell all of us were looking forward to bragging about how many pieces we found more than anything else! XD

There was this group of boys who were also competing, and they were our main concern. When we had eight, they said they had nine, and we couldn't find anything so we were about to give up, ha, ha! Thanks to a couple of people who had decided to stop, though (they were also helped by people who had no chance), we gained four more pieces! I refused to let the second one go without a hug, heheh !

So we had eleven pieces, but after we told the boys, they told us they had thirteen. I was starting to suspect it was not a coincidence they always had more than us. That, along with the constant offers for us to either join them or give them our pieces since there was "no way" we were going to win, led me to believe that they were probably lying just to make us give up xD.

We handed in the pieces and wrote down our names on the list... The winners will be announced when we get back, I guess!

I hope you all are enjoy/will enjoy your spring break !

All the people I live with started either yesterday or today with their Spring Break while I still have class today or tomorrow so that sucks, but it sounds like you had a great day. I hope that you have a great week and that you get to spend more time with us in chat now since you have all this extra free time, but don't forget to go out and have fun, like dodgeball or whatever kids play.

Aw, come on! I've been hearing in chat that "I get a week off!" or "I get 2 weeks off!" What do I get? 4 days off. 4 days.

Anyways, I'm glad you had an awesome time! I really wish I could be there too. But, maybe one day.

At least I get some days off. It's better than nothing.

I still have a day before a week of break.
All of the teachers are piling tests on us because they couldn't bring themselves to so so any sooner.
I had 5 graded assignments today.
One was a math "Group assignment". I got two people who did nothing. It counted as an informal/quiz. I got a double 43. Dropped my math grade from a 95 to an 87.
Perfect.
Hope you enjoy break, because I certainly will.

Your school's much more fun and spirited than mine, apparently! My school doesn't do anything for Autism Awareness Day, which of course disappoints me since I have Autism and I know how it works. I'm very happy your school did though!

I was at my school for Autism Awareness Day, but it wasn't the last day before break and not many people were wearing blue. I was sick and absent on my last day before Spring Break, so I have no idea what happened other than a party in my leadership class. I think my friends will fill me in on what I missed when I get back to school (which I don't think I'll feel ready for).

I'm lucky that my school doesn't require anyone to wear a uniform, except for the teachers of the leadership class. (They always have to wear an Army uniform!)

Ah, boys versus girls XD I hope you girls won! Those guys shouldn't have said what they said to you

Thanks for wishing everyone an enjoyable Spring Break! I'm enjoying it a lot despite having makeup work to do from missing the last 2 days of school before break! I hope you enjoy yours too!

That does sound like a pretty amazing last day, and I will admit that I broke out into a huge grin when you said your school wore blue today in support. So, from me and everyone else who has autism, thank you! Just little things like that support us a lot, because it lets us know people do care about us and that we aren't wanted dead by everyone, so thank you, really. ^^

That puzzle scavenger hunt sounds like it was a lot of fun, too. Congratulations to your sister, and congrats to you for 'second place' in your group! It sounds like you had a lot of fun and put a lot of effort into finding things, you should be proud.

Sounds really nice to just have a free day to talk about whatever and use the school laptops without getting reprimanded. I wish my high school had been like that on the days pretty much no one came in. It would have made last days much more tolerable to come in for. As it was, all we ever got was knowing we didn't have a day taken off of our roll call. That could add up, of course, but eh.  Though my history teacher did let us watch The Mummy one year right before Christmas break, so long as we didn't tell the principal that he brought it in. That was a good day. First time I'd ever seen that movie.

Also WOW, I can't believe you get 12 days for vacation! That's triple the amount of any vacation I ever got during high school, unless it was an unofficial one due to blizzards. Which...happened. But those aren't fun because usually the power was out and it was cold. But you are really lucky, I hope you enjoy your break to the fullest. :3
