So, have you ever heard of Twitch Plays Pokémon? If not, then let me explain. Basically, you go to the Twitch Stream of this channel and, in the chat, input commands, like a, up, select, etc. The point is, the character will do what you write in the chat if it is an exact command. Picture this with like 1000 people at the same time trying to input a command while some have lags. The chaos caused here is what makes all this fun. And yes, they have beaten some pokémon games with this, and took them some serious hours.
And now the reason of this topic. Twitch plays "inspired" other channels to do this with other games, like Minecraft (I'm serious, someone did this with minecraft). But the point when it got a twist was when someone made a script that presses button randomly, with no way to expect the outcome. This is RNG Plays Pokémon, and in over 600 hours they've beaten Pokémon Crystal.
So, I decided to do something. With some search I found a program and a script that does this, and started experimenting. I leaved Pokémon Crystal and the script running by 3 hours, and leaved the place. The problem is when I returned and found the character caught on a NPC house. And I just tried this with a randomized Pokémon Red Rom and leaved it for an hour. When I returned the initial Pokémon was leveled to level 11 in the first route of the game, but the character somehow managed to return to his room. Obviously, the outcome it is so random that it can get stuck anywhere.
I might have fun with this for a while, so maybe I'll upload updates on how the run goes.
