Hi, people from the land of V! Green here with another thread! I'm not sure if there's a thread similar to that one, or I already made one (I don't think so), oh well. Anyway, should there be Super Mario Galaxy 3? I want it to exist! If it could happen, which new features would you want to see and why? I want to see Wario and Waluigi as playable characters because I want them to give them a more important role. I would love to see new Power Ups such as the dog suit I talked about in my previous Mario thread, and Co-op mode availaibe: Maximum 4 players. Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi, I would also like to see 480 Power Stars availaibe, so the game would be challenging and convince other people to buy it. If you want that game to happen, which new features would you want to see and why?

I would totally want a 3rd installment! The only thing that I would only want is that you could play as rosalina. AND you play through her early life since we don't know that much about her. We only know from the storybook in the first game. That would make it really creative and have a different storyline!

I have been talking about the possibility Nintendo has with making a Super Mario Galaxy 3, and they just won't do it. We know there won;t be a mainstream Mario game this year, either. So, that got me pretty upset. However, they may be working on something HUGE for him behind our backs, so we'll just have to see how this all turns out in the end.

pacman2 : Yeah, or the 3rd installment can be a prequel to the first game!

LunarDarkness2 : Yeah, Nintendo may be working on a secret project, or the work immediately started after the second game came out.

I think to my opinion, I think they should be a 3rd Super Mario Galaxy game on the Wii U, the reason on why I think so. The first 2 games have been extremely popular to Mario fans, and they like to see the trilogy end by installing another game in the series, and you know, a lot of games don't just end with only 2 games in the mini-series, you will always expect a 3rd game in the series.

Even know I don't have a Wii U yet, but planning on buying one and if SMG is released on that in the near future, I will defiantly buy a Wii U.

greenluigi : Hi there! If there was to be a Super Mario Galaxy 3, I would not want to see wario and waluigi (I really don't like those guys). I would like to see a return of fludd. You might be able to use him to fly though the vastness of space and even have combat flights. I think that would be totally awesome. Fludd in space? That rocket jump and turbo boost could probably send you lightyears away in zero gravity! I would like to see a new story where the princess isn't kidnapped by bowser. Perhaps having a new enemy altogether would be nice. I think we should also go with something like this. Shine sprites instead of power stars. An evil force scares all the shine sprites in the universe away. In their spots begin to gather dark sprites. These dark sprites infect many characters and enemies along the way, including bowser, but the ultimate enemy has yet to be discovered. Eventually, you follow the dark sprites throughout the universe into a black hole where you discover another dimension. Dark and twisted, this place defies all gravity laws, and it takes some genius to get through. (gravity is reversed and you have to use fludd to get closer to the ground!) Mario should have a ship again, but the opening needs to be way different from the others, just so people are not thinking that they are getting the same old thing. As you travel through this dimension, eventually you find the evil force. Pure darkness itself! And here's the thing, you can't really kill it. Darkness cannot be eliminated, only held back by the light.  At the start of the game, most places would be too dark to explore, but as you defeat the darkling enemies, more and more galaxies would open. Also, no kameks in this installment.

FaithFighter : Nice idea! F.L.U.D.D would be upgrared, and Professor Elvin Gadd, the creator, will have a bigger role. Shine Sprites instead of Power Stars? Okay, and like you said, it would be so much better if Peach wasn't kidnapped AGAIN. A new villain, too. You eliminate the darkness with the power of light.

A Super Mario Galaxy 3 sounds like a really good idea, but I don't think it will happen just yet because of the re-release of Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii U eShop, so maybe on the Nintendo NX or something.

I think there should not be a super Mario galaxy 3 because my opinion the Mario Galaxy's didn't have so good graphics plus it didn't make much sense

To be perfectly honest, I think there shouldn't be a Super Mario Galaxy 3 because as great as the first 2 were, I think adding a 3rd would just be more of the same with nothing new to bring to the table, plus with the wii being a console of the past, I think that the number of GGalaxy games should stay at 2.
