It hasn't been long since my last
update thread. Expect more of them since I'm trying out so many new things

First off, I should be able to be very active on weekends, but I might start being inactive on the weekdays a lot again because of what I realized I need to do/change. It's a lot.

Next week for sure, because next week I have to do a ton of studying since I have exams next Friday. Maybe even that weekend because I have more exams the day I return to school. At least it's a half-day of school so I go home at around noon

Next, I feel horrible for everyone who dislikes high school, even the troublemakers. I'll explain why, and I'll get to the me part later (but I don't want to just talk about myself since that makes me feel so self-centered).
In high school (maybe only public high school):
-You have so many opportunities to get involved with the school and make new friends.
-You can choose some of the classes you take (but not all of the classes you choose, you are guaranteed to take

).
-Your academic performance is more crucial for college than it ever was before.
High school is tough, but it's also most likely fun if you make new friends, get involved with the school, and choose classes that spark your interest!

It's my first year of high school, and I've enjoyed it a lot! I chose some boring electives, but I've made up for that by making new friends and trying to get involved with my school quite a bit. As well as making new friends, I've gained popularity (the right way) in high school because of my generosity and humor.

Last year, when I chose my classes for this year, I decided to pick JROTC, a class that mainly focuses on developing students' leadership skills. It can be intense (especially if you have to do 25 push-ups by giving a wrong answer sometimes), but it's mostly fun and intriguing.

Because I chose that class, I had plenty of opportunities to volunteer for community service! I was also able to make new friends and hang out with my not-so-new friends more. That class has made me establish some new goals for high school, and the main one is to make my good characteristics well-known to so many people.
I haven't gotten to show them as much as I'd like to, since I'm so quiet in class and I often struggle to add something to a conversation. I also want to prove to others that even somewhat shy, somewhat awkward, and quiet people like me can do amazing things!

Yesterday, I received the necessary papers to choose my classes for next year, and I'm very excited about what I discovered. I discovered that I can sign up for a class all about the high school yearbook, and I can contribute to its making in many ways.

I also discovered much more interesting and fun electives (classes that can be chosen) than I had ever looked at before.
There are so many electives I can choose, and I looked at all of them so I can figure out the best ones to take. These are the electives that I, as of now, plan on taking next year:
-Spanish 3 (I'm in Spanish 2 as a 9th grader this year because I took Spanish 1 last year for early high school credit!

)
-Acoustic Guitar
-Drawing 1
-Creative Writing
-Film Literacy
-JROTC 2 ( same class as I mentioned earlier in the post, but as a sophomore (10th grader) and leader of the freshmen (9th graders) )
I'm very excited about all of those classes except drawing! (I'm not really interested in art but art classes are required to graduate) If I pick JROTC, I don't have to take Gym.
Lastly, I plan on trying Honors (Advanced) English next year just because I want a more challenging English class!
