I've been playing a few games lately, and I'm looking for others like them. Actually, what I'm looking for is something like a cross between them. The two games I'm curious about are Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. What I'm thinking about is a game where you have the virtually unlimited individual character customization and team building of FFTA and the rogue-like dungeon exploration aspects and random mission orientation of Mystery Dungeon. So I guess I'm asking the community if they know of anything like that. Thanks everyone.

If you are looking for something in the RGR, I would recommend getting the PSX item and playing Mega Man X5, easily one of the best games in the X series, and if you are just looking for a game in general, I would go for Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii because it is a long game, over 100 hours, and you can get a lot of fun out of it with exploring, and there is no punishment for dying except going back to the nearest landmark you discovered.

If you're looking for a game that meets both of those criteria's you mentioned, If you've got the money, I guess I'd suggest possibly buying Etrian Mystery Dungeon for the 3ds. It comes out on April 7th, and it has the dungeon exploration aspects of PMD and from what I've seen, it seems like there's plenty of character customization. I wouldn't call it "unlimited" but I guess there'd be enough there to satisfy your desires.

It's another money thing, but if you do have the money, why don't you try Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for the 3DS?  It is pretty much exactly what you described as being things you wanted in a new game, plus it has the addition of online multiplayer, so you can join up with people for harder missions and boss battles. ...and your side kick is a customized cat in armour and with a weapon. What more could you want?

Plus, I think it just looks good and the music is addicting. Off the top of my head, I don't know of any in the RGR that fit both qualifications, but I'm sure someone else on here will see your thread and give you a good idea.

For physical games, though, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate seems like it may be your best bet. I think you can buy it from the Nintendo e-shop, too, if you just want a digital download, no cartridge to worry about.  Good luck finding something?
