One of the best feelings ever is making a new friend ^^!
I felt that today, which I haven't experienced in a long time
! I've made new friends online recently, but not in real life
.
It all started in school; it was during first recess, and I was drawing, as usual
. Then, this short kid (and I mean short; I'm 158 cm tall and I look down on him
) was like "YOU'RE SO TALENTED!"
He'd been badgering me for quite a few days, asking me to bring other drawings to show him xD, but it wasn't until today that I considered him a new friend
.
His name is Malik, which means "king" (I think ^^") in Arabic
, and I just love that name, ha, ha! It's the same name as one of my crushes! I think it can also be spelled as Malek...
Anyway...
He's in the sixth grade, and he stuck around and watched me draw and stuff, and later he called his friend Giovanni, who's in the seventh grade, to look.
He asked me to draw something for him (and even offered to pay, but I refused xD), anything. I told him I'd draw something for him by Tuesday (I have no school on Monday ^^), but I haven't decided on what it should be yet, ha, ha xD!
"Yasmine, you're making business!" he said, and we laughed. He told me I should have accepted money and would become rich someday by making cartoons
!
Later, in second recess, Malik's other friend, this time in the sixth grade, just like him, called us over to the cafeteria and shared some delicious cake she had bought with us for free
!
She had gotten it to school for the bake sale that took place during first break, but they ended up not having enough time to sell it!
I insisted to pay, but she refused over and over. She was really generous
! I told her it was shame she didn't accept money for the cake since it could have made her a lot (to which Malik replied, "Look who's talking!" xD)!
Her name is Rayan, I believe, and I've seen her before; she's on my bus, but we never really talked that much until today xD!
Anyway, they were all so nice! Hanging out with shorties is so awesome, because they make you feel like the Eiffel Tower! Nah, nah, jk
.
They're really cool; I'm not joking. They're funny and humorous in a GOOD way, unlike their peers and mine, and they have a sense of maturity and just overall coolness to them
. The good coolness. Not the coolness that the "cool" people have. The coolness the actual cool people have
.
So, I told my parents I'd made new friends in the sixth grade and one in the seventh (I'm in the eighth grade), and my dad was just like,
"Did you beat them up for lunch money?" XD
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say
.~ Have an awesome day, everyone!
