Super Mario 64 is the perfect portrayal of Mario in 3D. This game has all the feeling and elements that a Mario game should have. The story is a great remix of the generic "Bowser captures Princess Peach". The game takes place within paintings. You jump into a painting and you can explore the world within them. Earn stars by completing specific missions in each painted world and unlock new rooms and paintings. There are many secrets to be had in this epic installment. The Nintendo DS released a higher quality version of this already amazing game, adding depth to the playability. Furthermore, speed runners will love this game do to its time based star collecting system. Super Mario 64  is a game for all ages, offering many things that almost all gamers will find fun.

While this does meet the minimum, it should be much longer to be a great review.  Split it up in to categories, also 1000 words should be a cool goal, right? I do see some potential in your writing style, though. Split it up like this
