Nowadays, it seems as though most people spend more and more money on clothes, but how much is too much?

For me, either my family buys me clothes or I make sure to get cheap stuff so the most expensive piece of clothing I ever bought was a New York Mets jacket which I spent about 80 dollars on.

What's the most you have ever spent on a piece of clothing and have you ever regretted a clothing purchase because of the price?

I don't really spend all that much on clothing. Most of my clothes are pretty cheap. However, I find jeans to be the most expensive and they go for around 40$ where I live.

I dunno if this counts as a piece of clothing but I also have prescription sunglasses that I had to spend around 230$ on. They are very useful for driving though so it was well worth it.

I spent between $55-$60 on a hoodie.

It had my college logo on it, so that's why the price was ridiculously high.

Hoodies are by far the most expensive out of clothes I wear. Since they last a few years, it's well worth it.

I have seen a lot more expensive than that like $150 or more, but I don't bother buying those because I think they look stupid to my point of view.

I have 2 pieces of clothing that cost about the same, so allow me to mention both.

The first piece of clothing is the same as what IB just said, and that's a football jersey. My black Atlanta Falcons Matt Ryan stitched jersey cost my sister close to $120 when she got it for me for my birthday a couple years back. The only time I wear it is when we go to a game. I have owned plenty of football jerseys in my lifetime, and this one is by far my favorite.

This one might sound a little weird if you've never been in a bowling alley, but the bowling shoes that I wear also cost me about $120. The soles on them are interchangeable so I can wear them on a variety of approaches, whether they're sticky or slippery. I've had them for about 5 years, so I guess I've got my money's worth out of them.

If shoes count as clothing then my LS grape retro 5 jordans would be the most expensive piece of clothing I brought by myself, they were $150, but incase shoes don't count then the most expensive piece of clothing I've brought would be this polo shirt by Ralph Lauren for $80 it was on sale, its pretty nice it was a Spain polo shirt by Ralph Lauren. Im into fashion so I don't really mind spending my money on clothes.

Although you end up paying the most expensive suit, you can still get a decent one for $300-400 and then two others for free!
