First off, I would like to mention that I don't do reviews unless I really enjoy the game. So let's get down to basics.

Pokemon Ultra Violet, is a Pokemon game based on Pokemon Fire Red. However, the creator added much more than what the original game offered. Which includes; The opportunity to "Own" All Pokemon (Including trading types). A new feature which will allow you to catch your very own starter than using the three given to you from Oak, New maps, New text, etc. You can find the rest in the games description. In case you are wondering why I put quotes around "Own", the reason is that you will be able to catch all Pokemon, however you will also have to evolve some Pokemon to completely own, and fill the Pokedex. That being said, the creator put a LOT of work into this game, it's worth playing. Now let's stay the review.

Graphics: The game's graphics are the same as the original Pokemon fire red, however the reason why I gave this particular game a rating of 9, is simply because in most, or few, Pokemon hacks there is usually or occasionally a graphical error that is mistakenly added or not removed. I'm no hating on creators for missing these errors, but sometimes it happens, and it's just a mistake. But in this game, the creator didn't make a mistake, maybe at first he/she did, but the creator correctly, and fixed the errors, which shows to me that the creator really put a lot of effort into this hack. So overall the graphics are a 9.

Sound: This will be short, sound is the same as most hacks/ original Pokemon games, if not all. Why? Well first off, when playing these games on an emulator, most cases you fast forward it and the sound completely sounds like an Alien is trying to communicate with you through your own speakers. Anyways I enjoy the Pokemon music when I'm not playing through an emulator and I can actually understand it, lol. So I'm going to just give it an 8.

Addictiveness: Pokemon Ultra Violet was beyond addicting. I honestly cut myself off from going outside for two full days until I felt as I completed the game, and even still right at this moment, I want to play. The game has so many new features to it, that the original didn't offer, or even other hacks didn't offer. And the fact that I could catch my own Pokemon? That made it so much better, I love the original starters, but man, do I love trying new things! Oh, and trying to catch a lot of the shiny Pokemon? That was fun! Overall, I must admit this game is an addiction, and the withdraw may be awful, I'm going to give it a sexy 10. Yes a sexy 10, is better than a regular 10.

Story: The story of this game was pretty much the same as the original game. There was a few new added things, new text, new maps, and new events, but other than the few little added things, it was the same. You're a 10 year old boy who never ages, has a rival who constantly wants to smell you, and your mission is to explore the world catching Pokemon, talking to strangers, and wanting to defeat the E4 to become a Pokemon Master. Other than the few new things added it's the same. So I'm going to give it a 8 overall.

Depth: The creator really went into depth with this hack. The hack gives you so many new features, maps, and countless things of which I already mentioned like 20 times, and I don't want to make you bored, but the creator really went into depth with this one. I absolutely loved it. Giving trade type Pokemon realistic leveling system was also one of my favorites. I've put in over 30+ hours and still haven't 100% completed it. Added new events as well, like with mew, celebi, jirachi, a fancy puzzle for deoxy, and even the dogs. I don't want to spoil the fun for you all, so I highly recommend you find these events on your own. The depth for where Pokemon can be found from the other gens was amazing, even where the other starters are located. The creator really put work into this to allow this hack to make sense than other hacks allowed. It gave a new meaning to hacks, and allowed me to want to play others now because I'm addicted!. Overall 10!!

Difficulty: The difficulty of any Pokemon game is easy, when you play a Pokemon hack, you expect it to be slightly more difficult. In any Pokemon game, I would usually rate the difficulty as a 4. But in this hack, how the creator allowed you to catch every Pokemon, it would seem easy, just go out and catch and boom you win, but not so fast... In this hack, you have to evolve certain Pokemon, if not a lot of Pokemon to completely own em' all. Making the difficulty slightly higher than other Pokemon games, which would leave it to be a 6. However, I'm not done typing! The creator also implemented new events for legendary Pokemon, including the dogs from gen 2. Making the difficulty a bit more tougher. Why? Remember chasing around those dogs from gen 2? Getting highly annoyed. Well it's back. The first two dogs are easily found, you just walk up and there is your battle like the birds. But the last dog, is running around Kanto, and like the creator says, "Happy Hunting!". So overall with difficulty, I would rate Pokemon Ultra Violet a 7.

That is my review everyone, I hope you all enjoy playing this game, and good luck. Have fun! And remember to thank the creator for all the hard work he put into this hack, because this game was defiantly worth playing. Oh and I also hope you enjoyed my humor. LOL. Take care, thank you for reading.
