Audiosurf is one of the coolest games that I have played because of simply what it is. It's a music game but it's not like Guitar hero, it has its own unique style of music game that offers a lot of fun. When I first saw a video of this game with someone playing the theme song for Pirates of the Caribbean, I knew that I had to get it and once I did, I fell in love with it.

Graphics - 9/10 (Very Good)

The graphics are actually really good. The game is about guiding a little ship thing through this random futuristic course alongside your favorite music. The tracks look really cool and are full of color and detail and there's always some awesome looking design. Not to mention that every track is going to look different based on the song, length of song, difficulty, and game mode. My overall grade for Graphics is going to be a 9 out of 10.

Sound - 9/10 (Very Good)

The sound is pretty much the best part of the game but it doesn't really have it's own sound at all aside for the random sound of hitting blocks on the track. Aside for that, none of the sound belongs to the game as all of the music is music that you play in the game. Normally, I like a game that has good music that is from the game, but the ability to use whatever song you want is a huge factor and for this, my grade for sound is a 9 out of 10.

Addictiveness - 10/10 (Perfect)

The game is very addicting, simply because you are listening to some of your favorite songs. You like playing games right? You love listening to music don't you? So adding both of them into one game makes this very addicting. This isn't a simple music game where it's gong to be pretty much the same thing every time you play the same song over. If you play the same song, you should have a different experience each time simply because of all of the different game modes and difficulty levels. The game has a lot of potential to be super awesome and the addictiveness level is awesome. For that, I am going to give it a 9 out of 10.

Story - N/A (Meh)

The game doesn't really have any story at all. The only thing that you are doing is trying to guide your ship along the track while listening to your favorite song and doing what is required for your game mode. That's really all there is to the game, there's no story so I won't give it a grade.

Depth - 8/10 (Very Good)

There really isn't much, but it's also a lot at the same time. There's two factors to this game that make this game have a lot of depth. First off, there's the ability to pick any song and play along with it. You can pick literally any song ever, millions, and then you can also change different tempos and different aspects of the song before you play. The next aspect is the amount of game modes. There's 3 different difficulty levels which each have their own set of a few different game modes for you to play. As I had mentioned earlier, you can end up playing each song to over a dozen or so different game modes and that makes the game have a lot of depth and for that, this category gets an 8 out of 10.

Difficulty - 3 (Very Easy)

Like the title of the category says, this game is very easy, heck, it's one of the most laid back games that I have ever played, and can even relax you. You're playing the game to songs that you like, so just that alone makes the game easy and relaxing and fun. Aside for that, some of the harder game modes can obviously be challenging and for these, you just need to be fast and able to process what you see and react in the game. Once you get the hang of some of the game modes, the game is so easy and for that I am going to give this category a 3.

Overall - 9.2 (Very Good)

Overall, the game is a blast, as I said before, it's a mix of two of the most fun things to do, play games and listen to music. Many people play the game already, but if you don't, then you really need to try it out because I'm sure that you will fall in love with the game or at least play and like it enough to get your money's worth. My overall grade for this wonderful game is going to be a 9.2 out of 10.

Anyways, nice review Zander, I think you did a little bit of detail in the review, maybe a little bit of more detail could be added, but hey, that might just be me though.

IgorBird122 : I agree it could have had more, most of my reviews are 1200 words, but this game doesn't really have a lot to talk about, minimal graphics, no story, no real music, its very simple.

I was wondering what that game was I always saw videos of it. Didn't know the name of the game until now. Hearing the Pirates of the Caribbean theme would make me want to play the game as well. I haven't played a music game since Guitar Hero: World Tour, that was a few years ago. This review is a good read it makes me want to get the game. Great job Zan, keep them coming.
