Chapter 1 - System Update

I'm no ordinary guy. I love computers, and everything about them. It's fantastic. The way computers are - is just amazing. What they do, how they work - fabulous! But, I wasn't sure how to explain this when it happened, but, I got, stuck...in a computer!
I'm pretty sure it happened, maybe, a year ago? I was on the Internet, looking for information on my vacation that I was going to take. I was going to visit London! Or was it Canada? I think it might've been California. Anyways, that doesn't matter. What does matter is that I went on this particular website - freetravel.net - and the website said that I could travel to wherever I was going, for free! Well, not free. Almost free. But, as I was about to click the "Order" button, a message appeared on the screen:

System Update
REQUIRED
update v4.2.1

Beginning soon…please wait...
"Woah!" I jumped out of my chair when I saw a blue light coming from my computer screen. It started to head for me. I ran all around the room before it got me. The doors and windows were locked from the outside. I was helpless. Then, I saw a hand stick out, and I jumped in.

Chapter 2 - Woah!
When I got in, I immediately knew that something was so familiar. I saw my background, my documents - everything! I soon knew where I was. It was my computer’s desktop! So, now I’m stuck in my own computer. I don’t know what to do now. How can I get out? If someone found a way to reset the computer, I would be a goner!
Soon, my friend, Mickey (not Mickey Mouse) came over to my house. We were supposed to meet up to play video games with each other. But I guess we won't meet up, ever, now that I'm stuck here.
"Where is he?" Mickey asked. He then stared at me, and said, "And who is that?"
"It's me!" I said, waving at him.
"That's not you," Mickey said. "There's no way!" Mickey ran out of my house.
So, I just sat there and waited. I knew I could play the games that I loaded on my computer a long time ago. I jumped over the Internet icon and then went in the folder named “Games”. In the folder, I saw I had four games - Blockworlds, The Tims, Gun Game 2 and Moat of Magic. I decided to play Blockworlds first. But, as soon as I started up the game, I realized that I was Jim - the main character! I saw that my clothes had changed - I was wearing a light blue shirt and jeans. That’s what Jim wears when he’s not playing Dress-Up. But then, I looked at my hands and saw that they were squares. My head was a square, my legs were rectangles - so many shapes. I knew exactly what was going on.
The sky started to get dark, so I started to head home. My house was nothing more than a little box with a door. Nothing special, but it’s cozy! I tried to sleep, but I couldn’t, and I knew why. There were creepy crawlies near my house! I went to my container and took out my wooden sword - just in case something bad was going to happen. I heard the zombies and the spiders make noise. I started to get real scared. From all the sci-fi movies that I have watched - I knew that if I died in the game - I would die in real life!

Chapter 3 - Game Over?
Flesh-eating zombies were around my house. Red-eyed spiders were on top of my house. I had nowhere to run or hide. I had to fight them somehow so I can go to sleep. I looked once more in my container just to see if I had anything else. When I looked through the container, I saw that I did have some amethyst lying around. I knew that if I want to my workshop, I could make a amethyst sword!
I went over to the small workshop in my house. I went to my toolbox and built a sword. Now I was ready to defeat my enemies! I took a deep breath. I headed out the front door, very nervous. I didn’t know if I can make it!
I first went to the zombies. They looked more frightening in real life. I didn’t know what I was doing. I just swung the sword and hoped that the best would happen. Otherwise, I would’ve been doomed. I defeated all of them, and luckily, one of the zombies dropped some armor! That will protect me from anything that will be in my way.
I went over to the spiders. Most of them were on my roof, so I got my teleportation device and magically appeared on the roof! When I arrived, the spiders looked angry. I had to do something. I kept swinging the sword. All of the spiders were gone in an instant. I used the teleportation device to get back in my little home. I could finally sleep, and before I knew it, it was morning!
“Okay, I’m coming back for you!” Mickey yelled.
“Don’t!” I said.
Mickey went over to the computer and said, “Let me just get out of here!”
“No!” I replied.
Mickey clicked on the close button. I fell all the way down to the floor of my desktop.
“Get me out - now,” I said.
“Just - wait,” Mickey said.
“What is it?” I asked.
“Nothing, I was just telling you to wait,” Mickey replied. “Anyways, I’ve been looking at websites, and I saw that there is such thing as a 3D printer.”
“So, what can it make? Like - real 3D stuff?” I asked.
“Yes! Of course!” Mickey replied.
“Okay, so how much does it cost?” I asked.
“Well, I also checked that, and it costs a lot.” Mickey said.
“Well, it should only be like four hundred or five hundred dollars, right? How much can it cost?” I said, joyfully.
“Eh - seven thousand dollars. And that’s if you want to come back in color. Otherwise, the five thousand dollar one - black and white only. It would actually look pretty cool.” Mickey replied, thinking that I had that much money just sitting there.
“And what about the ink?” I asked.
“Uh...forty dollars - per color.” Mickey said.
“And how many colors are there?” I asked.
“Uh...four. I think. There’s red, yellow, green, and blue. They combine the colors to make it very colorful.” Mickey said.
“That’s around seven thousand two hundred dollars! Are you crazy? Where are we gonna get the money? There has to be another way! Otherwise, I will stay here - FOREVER!” I screamed.
“Well, we can always print it,” Mickey said.
“With what - the 3D printer that we can’t buy? Think real here,” I said.
“Hmm...you’re right. Maybe there’s a way - oh, wait, I think I know something. I know someone,” Mickey said.
“Well tell me now or I will kill you! Well, if I get out,” I said.
Mickey said, “Okay, so you know that guy Craig?”
I said, “Yeah, the Craig with that Tanith girl?”
“Yeah,” Mickey said.
“Well,” I said.
“Anyways, we can get him over here, with his 3D printer, and we can use it!” Mickey said, expressing his happy feelings.
“Okay, but, how much will it cost us?” I asked.
“How much do you weigh?” Mickey asked.
“Uh, 120 pounds?” I asked, confused about why he was asking me how much I weigh.
“Okay, so, if ink costs forty dollars a kilogram, and if you weigh around fifty four kilograms, and with Craig’s little ‘discount’ of five dollars per kilo off, it would cost around...one thousand eighty dollars,” Mickey said.
“I do have that much,” I said, happily.
“Okay. I’ll be back tomorrow,” Mickey said.
Mickey closed the door. I was so happy. Soon, I would be out of this mess. It would cost a lot, but it was worth it! Now I just had to find something to eat...

Chapter 4 - Just Hold On
Mickey went to Craig’s little “lab” to get him and the 3D printer. I didn't know how long Mickey would be. I was trapped in the computer, still. I still had to find some food...
I knew that I had some recipes in my recipe folder. Yes, I try to cook. I mean, well, see, I want to cook. For now I'm just eating takeout. I wanted to you know, change it up! I'm tired of eating noodles every day.
I jumped over the game folder and dove into the recipe folder. There were all sorts of good things in there - hamburgers, pizza, lasagna - so good! I decided that I would have the lasagna - my friend Susan said that the lasagna was the best thing she ever had.
It wasn't a while after finishing the delectable lasagna that I found a folder inside the folder. There were desserts in there! They looked amazing. The first thing I grabbed for was the Chocolate Bomb. The Chocolate Bomb is almost like a ball of delicious fudge with tiny white crystals of sugar glistening on top of the ball. The bomb would explode - your taste buds that is.
"Alright, we're here!" Mickey said. "Reel it in, Craig."
"Okay," said Craig, sighing. He hauled in a giant machine. Was that the printer? "Let me just plug this in..."
"Hey, Craig!" I screamed.
"That's really you!" Craig said. "Can't believe it."
Craig plugged in the printer. It started to make weird noises. I've never heard these noises before.
"Hello, Craig Jones," the printer said. It actually talked! "Welcome back!"
He hooked the computer up with the printer with some cable. It had all these things on it, but I couldn't name any of them. All of a sudden, this little door opened. It was blue with little yellow sparkles surrounding it. That was the door to the cable!
I entered the door, and I was sucked in. While in the door, I saw all these things pass by. I had no idea what they were. Then, I was brought into another door. I didn't know where I was.
All of a sudden, Craig said, "Alright, this is gonna start soon. Just hold on."

Chapter 5 - The Big Deal
I really hoped that it worked. I've paid so much money to do this. If it didn't work, I would be stuck here forever. I had Craig and Mickey looking at me weird for some reason. After a while, I stopped looking them.
"Uhh," I said, "do you need something? Are we doing this?"
"Yeah, of course. I'm just setting it up," said Craig.
Craig started to push more buttons, and the machine started to suck me in. I went in headfirst. The printer was very slow - actually, super slow, but I'm not sure why. My head started to teleport from the printer to this plastic tube. I had room in there. Then, the rest of my body was teleported.
It took probably, three hours before I was finally put back to normal. Everything was the same! I looked at my arms; they were the same. I looked at my legs; they were also the same! I felt relief as I exited the tube. To my surprise, Mickey and Craig hugged me.
“What’s the big deal?” I asked. “Yeah, I might’ve survived death in several ways, but there’s no need for the hugging!”
“What’s the big deal? The big deal is that you’re back!” Mickey exclaimed. I went up to Mickey and hugged him. After all, without him, I would’ve been stuck here forever!
“But there’s just one problem,” I said.
“What?” Mickey asked.
“I never got to go on my trip!” I exclaimed, upset.
“You’re right! Oh well...” Craig said. We all had a laugh about it.
“Wait, what’s THAT?” Mickey asked.
“Oh my,” I said. Craig was pointing to a hand.”It’s back.”

Wow.. you are a really talented writer! I can't say this story is exactly my type, but that doesn't mean it isn't written well. It originally caught my attention because you mentioned it was for geeks.... then called it undefined. At first, I thought it was going to be a witty satire about undefined mathematical values. *Sniffles *

I'm guessing you copy pasted it from somewhere?  Whether or not... I'd add blank lines between the paragraphs. Otherwise, your grammar was pretty great (not perfect, but pretty darn good) as well as the flow.  Keep writing!

(Also, is it meant to have a cliffhanger ending, or are you still working on this?)

Singelli : I'm not finishing this up. I wrote this as a project in Language Arts class last year, and I decided to just share it, because I kind of want to put some use into my work!

mario102 :  At first I misread and thought you said you ARE finishing it up, and I got a little excited. haha.  So was that the end of it or did you not finish and simply don't intend to?

Regardless of your answer, it's very well done! Do you like to write for fun at all and will you share anything else with us?

Singelli : The entire story is finished, and I don't plan to work on it again. Also, I probably have something that I can find and just put it on Vizzed. I wrote a lot of stuff last year!

oh, come on! Write some new stuff!  That's how you get even better, not by copy-pasting your old stuff.    (Not to mention, that might upset a few people this month since it's a TdV month. lol)

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
