I bought the game today, The Sims 3 Collector's Edition, and it installed just fine. Yet, when I tried to run it, a message popped up saying:

"Installation Incomplete and the Sims3 cannot run. Please Reinstall and try again."


Also, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I downloaded the EA Games Download Manager, but the EADM will not open under any circumstances. I was wondering if I was missing any new patches for the game to run, and because EADM won't open to download these patches, I cannot play the game?

Now, the game does open through the TG3 file, but then I get a message saying Installation Authentication Failure. Any ideas anyone?

Is the file you supplied on previous threads (the Disc Authentication Failure) intended to fix this problem as well?
