Before I begin, I’d like to state that I’ve lied many times here on Vizzed. I've been a pathological liar for most of my life, but when I joined the site I promised I would never lie again. I kept that promise up until my big return in July. What does that have to do with this thread? Scroll down.


As you may have noticed, I had completely and utterly disappeared from Vizzed starting Saturday. Well, I’m back and I’m here to tell why I was away.


1) Real life problems: Contrary to what I claimed in a few of my threads and posts, I never had much of a social life. People LIKED me, but rarely talked to me except for a select few. I also didn't have a girlfriend. All that changed in the past month. People buy and large have been taking more of a liking to me, and I’ve made pools of friends and "allies".


I posted in a thread before I left that I was being forced into a relationship with a 14-year-old with a baby. Turns out the baby part was a ploy. An elaborate ploy, but a ploy nonetheless (the girls who pulled it off are a little.....shall I say, unpredictable). Despite that, my interest in that girl petered away, but yesterday I hooked up with the other girl mentioned in that thread. The relationship is nascent, but it's flowing smoothly enough.


To deal with this huge transition, I decided to take a few days off from the site.


2) Boredom with Vizzed: My posting ramped down after the TdV to the lowest I can remember it being. I figured a while away would renew my interest, and it hopefully has.


So yeah, that's why I’ve been away and that's what I’ve been doing.


All I can promise is that I’ll no longer lie here and I’ll be quite a bit more active. I can't guarantee that I won't suddenly disappear again - stuff happens.

Those girls are nice, but they're also really messed up. But I've grown used to that sort of behaviour. It's rather prevalent around here.

Boxia : I hope you looked at it from my point of view and ran the other direction.  When girls start talking babies and trapping people into relationships, they have teh crazy in their heads.

Saying that, no one cares of you lie or don't.  If you feel the need to lie to make yourself more popular, go out and actually make yourself more popular.  Learn how to develop relationships with people and practice interacting.  I do so well with social situations at 33 years of age because I was learning how to have friends in middle school and high school.  You don't have to make lists of who your friends are and who your allies are.

Just be nice to everybody.  That is a tough skill to learn.  If you disagree, don't tell them unless they ask.  If you don't like something, don't offer up other stuff.  The real trick to making friends is letting them talk a lot.

Mark Twain once said something like, "It's better to remain silent and have people think you a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Practice.  That's how you get better.  And watch yourself for when you start lying.  Why are you doing it?  To seem cool?  Everyone's doing that.  Just be yourself.  It's okay if you didn't go hang-gliding over the weekend.  Just be honest.  You never have to remember the truth and people appreciate it a lot more.
