Camphrier Town

As soon as you arrive in Camphrier Town, your Holo Caster will receive a signal. It turns out to be nothing more than an explanation of how the Holo Caster was designed by Lysandre Labs and hopes you'll enjoy using it. The people around Camphrier Town tend to be rather generous when it comes to handing out items. The man just to the west of the Pokémon Center gives you an Ultra Ball when you talk to him. The hotel to the west of the Pokémon Center has a man that gives you a Full Heal on the bottom floor. Upstairs, you'll find Mr. Bonding, the guy in the pink suit you ran into earlier. Well, he's ready to give you another O-Power: Special Attack Power! This raises your Special Attack when you activate it from the PSS. To the south of the hotel, outside of the gate, is a small path that leads over to a Star Piece, which can be sold for some money. The house directly above the Pokémon Center is Cassius's house. Cassius is the person who runs the PC storage system in the Kalos region and was sent over here by Bill from Kanto. Talking to him changes the text of "Someone's PC" to "Cassius's PC". You can also talk to the girl with magenta hair to receive TM46 Thief, which has been buffed to a respectable 60 power and also steals the foe's held item if it has one and you don't. The northwestern house has a guy inside who will request to see a Pokémon of a certain type. That type is random and changes every day. If you show him a Pokémon of that type, he'll reward you with your choice of Cheri Berry (heals paralysis), Chesto Berry (heals sleep), Pecha Berry (heals poison), Rawst Berry (heals burn), or Aspear Berry (heals freeze). You can do this once per day. The lady inside also gives you a Sweet Heart if you talk to her, which heals a Pokémon HP by 20. The northern part of town is home to Shabboneau Castle, an old castle that was mostly emptied out by its owners, who gave much of its contents away, as the guy inside explains. Shauna asks the man about Mega Evolution, but there's no word on it. However, your conversation is interrupted when  someone comes in and tells the man he needs to go to Route 7, which is where Shauna suggests you go as well.

Route 7

Route 7 is a rather long route, but unfortunately you won't be able to explore all of it right away. It also branches off to Route 6, which is another place you can't yet explore (but will soon). Head over to the west until you find a fork in the road. To the south is an optional area you can visit, but for now, make your way all the way west until you see the people from earlier — as well as a giant Snorlax passed out smack dab in the middle of the bridge to the rest of Route 7. They'll explain that the Poké Flute is needed to wake up Snorlax, and that the Poké Flute is held at Parfum Palace to the north. Before leaving, though, head directly north of the bridge to find a Heal Ball. (The Berry Farm down south is optional.)

    Route 6

The central part of Route 6 is incredibly straightforward. It's just a long, straight path under the shade of trees, where you'll have to fight against some Tourists. Fight them and then continue north and that's all you actually have to do on Route 6. In fact, that's all you really can do until you arrive at the Parfum Palace. Continue on to Parfum Palace, although you can continue on Route 6 by heading to either the left or the right when you arrive at the palace. There are paths that take you to the respective side on Route 6, which contains much more action.

Parfum Palace

Parfum Palace is a large, royal palace near Camphrier Town. The exterior of the palace is rather nondescript, although there are pathways leading back onto Route 6, accessible directly west or directly east of the entrance you took to get here. Feel free to take them if you'd like. The lady directly north of the entrance will give you an Oran Berry if you talk to her. Handy! You can either hold onto it or go plant it in the Berry Fields back on Route 7. There's also a camera spot in the eastern part of the terrace, should you want to take a picture by the palace. As you approach the gate, Shauna will catch up with you and then you'll both be told there's a $1,000 entrance fee to enter the palace. You'll unfortunately have to cough up $1,000 right there on the spot (unless you have less than $1,000, in which case you'll be able to enter for free), but at least you get entry into the palace. Inside of the palace, you and Shauna will witness the owner running around frantically in search of his beloved Furfrou, so Shauna suggests that the two of you help find the man's Furfrou. If you want to skip directly to where to find the Furfrou, just head directly north of the entrance here to reach the Parfum Palace Courtyard, but otherwise feel free to explore the rest of the palace for additional items. Talking to the people in the palace will offer insight into the Kalos region's past. You can heal your Pokémon by using the bed inside of the first room to the left. Other than that, there's nothing exciting for you on the first floor of the Parfum Palace, so you'll need to head upstairs in order to find anything more interesting. The eastern wing of the second floor has nothing of interest other than dialogue. The first door from the stairs in the western wing has the Amulet Coin sitting in the fireplace, which you should take, as holding it doubles the amount of money you'll receive after every Trainer battle so long as the Pokémon holding it participated in the fight. In the middle of the two wings of the palace is the balcony, which currently has nothing there, but you'll have to return here later on, so keep it in mind. Now that you've had your fill of the palace itself, head down to the first floor and then enter the large door in the very middle of the palace, near the entrance, to head out into the courtyard. Across the bridge you'll find the courtyard, which has various bushes with items scattered about in them. As it is somewhat easy to miss, make sure you head directly northwest from the Reshiram statue by the bridge. Make your way inside of the maze there and pick up HM01 Cut, which is a weak Normal-type move, but it enables you to cut down those prickly trees that block your path in a few areas. It's not a very good move in battle, though, and you can't forget the move since it is an HM move, leaving you stuck with it until you get to the Move Deleter in Anistar City, around the time you get your seventh badge, so it's best to teach it to a Pokémon that isn't a key Pokémon on your team. In that same maze structure, to the northwest of HM01, you'll find a Super Potion sitting around. In the very northwest part of the whole courtyard, there's a Guard Special sitting in the bushes in the corner back there. Also along the edge of the courtyard, except cleverly hidden in the bushes on the eastern edge of the courtyard, you can find a Revive. It's tricky to see, though, so be on the lookout for it! There's also an Antidote in the southeastern hedges, smack dab in the middle part of the top of it. The lost Furfrou is waiting in the northwest part of the courtyard, so head on over there and Shauna will show up after the Furfrou runs away. She'll suggest you corner the Furfrou in the dead end to the north and will offer to stay still in a spot you choose. There are three spots where you can place Shauna to stand guard: where she is first standing (the entrance), and then the spots to the northwest and northeast. Essentially, you can have her stand guard at any intersection. The Furfrou should start off to the northeast, so talk to Shauna while near the entrance and she'll wait there. Approach the Furfrou from the west so it runs north. After it runs north, go back and talk to Shauna, then station her where the Furfrou just was — directly to the northeast. Then head west, followed by north, and then just a little east to trap the Furfrou. The palace owner will show up and show his gratitude, then invite you to watch the fireworks display on the balcony of the palace. Head up to the second floor of the palace and then head towards the middle of it, where you'll find the balcony by walking outside from the center hall. Out there, after talking to Shauna, you'll watch the fireworks with Shauna, and afterwards you'll receive both the Poke Flute to take back to Route 7 as well as TM17 Protect, which allows your Pokémon to protect itself from all damage and effects for a turn in battle. Now that you've done all that, head on back to Route 7, where you'll be able to wake up the Snorlax and explore the rest of the route that was previously blocked! Make sure you heal up and stock up on Poke Balls or Great Balls first, though!
